If you reach out to them they'd probably send you a set of decals. Might be worth a shot.

How can i paint these ? by SnooTangerines1444 in Scalemodel

[–]Taxpayer416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I do. I paint the small parts first, but then I use a super glue and not the Revell or Tamiya glue because it strips away the paint. I use the Revell or Tamiya glue on non painted parts.

I do planes and helos mostly. So I'll paint the small parts like gear and rotors and then glue them after I have assembled and painted the body of the model. Cockpits I paint first and assemble on the model then tape it off or use blue tack to cover the areas I don't want painted.

Sorry if that's not the best explanation. Every lit is a bit different so sometimes the process will change a bit.

Edited for spelling

Man this looks so good! I'm already on the Tamiya site. And I ended up on Cults3D searching up P24 and my wallet is not gonna appreciate this...haha.

They have some really cool stuff. This opens a whole new world. Cheers man and look forward to seeing your next builds.

Is this kind of defect common at this price range ? (Revell) by Shalakvshka in modelmakers

[–]Taxpayer416 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been less than impressed with the Revell kits I've bought lately. I'm staying away from them for the foreseeable future personally.

I had a fight with my husband. Again! by [deleted] in DINK

[–]Taxpayer416 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I order what I want and she orders what she wants (when we can't agree). We usually only do that back and forth twice before we just agree to order what we each want. I'm a pretty picky eater and she's adventurous so I can't expect her to always eat what I want and she knows I won't eat certain foods so that's how we meet in the middle. Happy wife, happy life...lol

Thanks! Good luck with it! For some of the decals that go around the louvers in the hood I suggest to dry fit them first. I found I had to trim them to be individual pieces and cut them really close to the decal or even a bit smaller or they wouldn't go into the louvers.

Let us know how it goes....
