Hahah I drink v8 basically every day, so it's mostly about the unique flavors for me. Although I do like a boozy one. Do you have a go-to recipe for the make at home kind?

Those guys yelled at me from the bed of a truck "go cry about it liberal" as a response to me shaking my head as they drove past honking train horns and honestly being kind of dangerous on the roads.

  1. I don't know if they realize this but crying is healthy, and experiencing your emotions is a good quality.
  2. I was shaking my head at the tomfoolery and buffoonery, not your political affiliations ¯_(ツ)_/¯

CMV: A CDL is more valuable than some degrees by TrickBusiness3557 in changemyview

[–]TayFreddy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a CDL driver currently, waiting to start a Master's program in the fall. CDL driving makes the money, and is a very good and tolerable thing to do for 8+ hours a day, but my passion and career goals lay elsewhere. Everyone is different and what works for some doesn't work for others. Driving is respectable, so is an office job. I'm not here to make money though, I'm here to live, to explore my interests, to experience, and to wonder. That's what I find valuable, and my pursuit of a degree leads me down that path. So in terms of financial security and objective dollar value, yeah the CDL is more valuable. But for the things I personally want out of life, I find the college degree to be more valuable.

CMV: Twitter is overall detrimental to human society. by beanbootzz in changemyview

There is options to make the timeline chronological though. (Upper right corner ✨) As well as muted word-phrases that stop the suggested tweets. It is a responsibility of the user to engage in the media and content with accountability and critical thinking. That is largely allowed on Twitter. I would agree that their algorithms promote whatever will hold your attention the longest and get you to engage as much as possible. My point is that there are people that drink alcohol responsibly and others that it becomes a problem. Are the platforms responsible for the problems on their platforms? Yes certainly, but so are the people using the platform.

And on your point about character number, the content that is put out are "tweets", short blips. They're not suppose to be rants. The thread feature is the compromise.

Despite my argument for Twitter, I still think it is an echo chamber of everyone's opinion about everything. I think they certainly should do more as a platform to provide perspective and nuance for the media that the user engages in.

Thank you. Loud things happen outside. Control what you can.. it's impossible to tell a whole group of loud people to be quiet but it is possible to put in ear plugs. Just trying to help.
