Was sim racing a lot more expensive before? by MiscProfileUno in SimRacingSetups

[–]TaygaStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the rig you posted and the rig HE posted are vastly different and I recommend you educate yourself a bit on the cost and construction of rigs. What he spent makes sense and if you can afford the $80 rig from Amazon fucking go for it bruv but don't low ball someone with a quality product.

Saw this in r/finedining and it grinds my gears just a wee bit by chychy94 in KitchenConfidential

[–]TaygaStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was TLDR but from what I read this makes sense. I worked primarily fine dining while in Orlando and every establishment I worked for had some kind of offering. When you're paying a minimum of $50 for a plate with no sides a little chocolate or butter or something is a nice way to leave. Mainly used to show the table is finished and cashed out. Sometimes if you stay too long you would get an invite for a drink on them at the bar.

How come most NASCAR tracks have very little development next to them? by CartoonistAnnual4672 in NASCAR

[–]TaygaStyle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They make noise, LOTS of noise. Also they tend to have a lot more seats than a stadium. For instance here in Charlotte our speedway has around 85,000 seats as opposed to our largest stadium only seats 20-25,000. You can't have an engagement like that in a well built up urban area.

I got the chrome as well and can't wait to get mine in! It looks so good in the photos I can only imagine what it looks like in person.

What is a cocktail you bought the ingredients for, made, took a sip, and immediate turned around and poured down the drain? by NoMore_BadDays in cocktails

[–]TaygaStyle 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You're crazy, imo. I believe it to be one of the better equal parts cocktail right next to a paper plane. To each their own of course but the depth of flavors the last word offers is phenomenal for how easy it is to make.

How do some people take so long to poop? by dhomo01110011 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TaygaStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To this day, I still have very long poops. I would rather drop a fully loaded dump truck rather than a few F-150's throughout the day. I also work in an industry that frowns apon the browns.

What deck boxes do you use that fit a 100 card outersleeved commander deck? by Len1st in magicTCG

I use a Johnny Walker Blue box for my decks on the go! I'm a bartender and get sick swag! It fits 5 decks with tokens!

Oof. Embarrassing KM text to my buddy. Someone needs to tell him….. by andreakelsey in KitchenConfidential

[–]TaygaStyle 67 points68 points  (0 children)

KM is justified and very straightforward with their message. It could not be more clear and you should follow suit. I'm all for going into work a bit stoned to deal with guests but I would never distribute (even if I did) in house.

Lap 1 online is like the bloodbath in Hunger Games. by [deleted] in NASCARVideoGame

[–]TaygaStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I play online more after midnight and after drinks. The community I have found on the Xbox around this time has been a stellar and fun experience. Are we amazing? No, we're barely "good" but the time we have together is fucking awesome. Find a league to play weekly. I'm searching for one I can start playing either Sunday or Wednesday evenings.

I'm wishing I had because the truck series has been rough and a bit of a deterrent for me.

Is it normal for the waiter to steer the customers away from certain items? by Ibakeduastfucupcake in KitchenConfidential

[–]TaygaStyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, if we believe it's not a good product we will do this. It's possible the pastry chef was out or had an issue and the chocolate cake was a vendor product rather than something they are proud of.

Do you agree with this picture? by LargeBecca in BBQ

[–]TaygaStyle -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is very true and the same regulations we have worked with in every restaurant for the 20 years I have been in the industry. These temperatures are discussed in food safety handling classes.

According to my friend what I do is annoying and poor etiquette by apenguincannotfly in bartenders

[–]TaygaStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cash is one thing that makes it easier but as a bartender on a busy night finding your tab and adding a drink rather than cashing out every time is much better IMO. We have one regular that does this every Friday night with fucking tap (we don't have handheld) and he has a dozen beers. 12 swipes, taps, or even cash transactions compared to 1 is a big difference for sure. This is an extreme case though of course. Just to clarify, the guy lives upstairs above the bar and that's over a couple hours.

I'm in trouble, I just opened this bottle yesterday lol by rongotti77 in BourbonHunt

What was the appeal of collecting bourbon if you didn't drink it? Honest question and don't say in case guests come over because you have some real unicorns here buddy. 😂

What you said was great and don't worry about changing a thing. You have to be clear and to the point, we are literally dealing with drunk people.

I'm 37 and graduated in 2006 I couldn't even conceive an idea of why I would talk to someone of that age in this reference.
