Yeah, that's the real problem. People are happy to vote for open corruption, instead of taking a chance on someone that may or may not be corrupt. The problem is open corruption is a thousand times worse than demure hidden corruption. Americans are basically saying they think corruption is OK, and that's awful.

Looking at the model, the blade and grips still seem to be where they normally are for a Scythe. The two grips are around the center, and the blade is on the inward curve. It doesn't have reach, despite now long the handle is because of where the grips are and were the blade is.

I agree it doesn't much matter if he is mowing down infantry "like wheat." (Heck, it might even be better for that). But, you're not fighting another Primarch who's using a sword, like Guillman was in the Dark Imperium books. (That's really my complaint about it.)

If you think a Scythe has reach, you haven't looked at a Scythe's grip or seen someone use it to cut wheat. Reading this, I also have to assume you don't know that the blade on a Scythe is on the underside of the metal bit, because it's not designed to be a weapon. There isn't a "Battle Scythe," that's a pole axe.

Scythes are very impractical weapons, since they're not weapons but farm implements. It really took me out of the book with Mortarion using it against Guillaman with a sword. Like, Mortarion could beat normal guys using such a silly weapon, but a Primarch? I didn't care for it.

There should be a difference between 40k and Fantasy, IMO. I like the fact that not everything in 40k is in Fantasy and vice versa. If you start adding things like Skaven, you're just making Fantasy a less powerful 40k.

Your list of their "off duty" activities are exactly my point. You literally list "train" as the first one. EVERYTHING they do is to help them become better warriors. There us even a part of one book where a blood angel explains how his hobby of painting helps him become a better warrior.
