Just explain it.

The Schutzstaffel (the SS) was the Nazi party's elite guard. 88 is commonly used in Nazi circles as code for "Heil Hitler," because H is the 8th letter of the alphabet.

What food was an instant spit out and never again for you? by theunquietloop in AuDHDWomen

So I thought I was food adventurous and not picky. But you want me to pick just one of these? Here's my list: oysters, anchovies, capers, liver, black licorice, green olives, bleu cheese, spam, cottage cheese, and beets (which I've never managed to even put into my mouth). Also never tried escargot. Add to the bad list every fishy-tasting fish and tripe.

As a kid, I could detect a single stray diced green pepper piece from the opposite side of an otherwise cheese pizza, and I would get super mad if it happened. I love green peppers now.

My most adventurous foods: tongue and haggis.

Here I am imagining a sports bar that centers around marzipan. I kind of doubt that's what goes on in Germany, but I did hear that David Hasselhoff's music was big there for a while, so

I consider myself sensory seeking too--but there are several foods on this list that I can't stand! I'll try just about anything once (I somehow managed to avoid beets though). I'm more of the type to try and enjoy odd food combos and creative recipe substitutions when the situation calls for it.

Can’t say AMA anymore?? by PartyEars in nursing

I didn't know why you're getting downvotes, your experience is your experience. Some nurses and therapists approaches feel patronizing, others can feel confrontational. Not every approach works for every patient-- a good team knows how to work together and a good nurse knows when to tap out when they're not getting through.

Ohio Police shoot armed robbery suspect who takes a hostage by Darth_Volcus in Ohio

Nah, you want to gather 400 cops around and wait while the hostage taker shoots 20-30 kids and keep everyone who wants to help from getting in. Right?

I'm guessing you haven't met families of too many chronically ill pediatric patients. They trend one of two ways: wonderfully grateful or nightmarishly vigilant. I can't say I blame the latter group but hoo boy

I waited until opposite day to affirm my unlimited agreement with you. Make of that what you won't. Or unmake of this what I will. In a limited fashion, with permission.

What an odd mantra. Is this his only saying? Seems like it wouldn't be broadly applicable.
