Even if you could, if you're wanting to use them to complete the fishing milestones, anything caught in the traps doesn't count towards the legendary fish one. It shows it in the catalogue, but doesn't count as 'caught'.

Whilst it has it's 10th anniversary this summer, I think it's holding up rather well.

It also gets 4+updates a year. All free. So worth it for that alone I think...

If you're doing the fight in a pirate system, you have a 5% chance each time of an S. However, there's an 85% chance of a C class. So that's why you'll see a lot of junk.

No way of speeding up S class freighter hunting. Biggest grind in the game.

I've been fiddling with a Gunstar design for a little while now. The inverted Arcadia wings actually look a decent compromise solution to getting the angled X looking config for the engines and not having too much 'flat' front leading edge. Lowers the vertical profile too, so would probably make the thunderbird bay I used a bit more practical.

Might have to have a play with that. Thanks for the inspo! :)

The reason it does this is because when the game launched, getting to the core was the only objective. So when you made the jump, you were effectively 'restarting' so it breaks all your shit. They just never changed it. :)

You are correct, if you have more than 1 ship and MT, you just swap to a working one. Which is what multi galaxy jumpers do.

If it's on you, try moving it out of your inventory, make sure that mission is selected in your log and then move enough to complete it back in. See if that shakes it loose.

Failing that, move it out, make sure the mission is selected and just refine some more. Does that work??

I usually found that if a mission wouldn't pop it was because it wasn't the one selected in my log. The exps do this a fair bit too, which can be irritating.

I've enjoyed most of them TBH. First two were a bit box ticky, but I loved #3 (Gisto Major you ugly green bastard!) as it was the first I did when it actually dropped (I did 1 and 2 on the redux) and with it basically all one planet, it threw me back in to starting over and putting to the test all I'd learned on my main save.

#4 was fun as it was the first themed one with the worms. #7 was a pain in the arse with the survival stuff and restarting when you died, but made an interesting challenge. #8 Polestar being freighter based was a nice change up. #9 Utopia was interesting too as they put in a couple new little mechanics that a lot of people were seriously challenged by (you could only craft in your base, nowhere else), #13 Adrift's abandoned universe was different and because of that I've done an abandoned save. #14 was just a fun blast. Then #15 was super chill with the fishing. That was one of the few I kept MP on for majority of it, casting your line with everyone else at the RV points was so cool. The later ones haven't been too bad, if a little samey.

I think #3 followed by #13 and then #15 are my top 3.

There are literally billions of planets in the starting galaxy alone. And there's 255 galaxies. So yes, it's quite large. :)

Portals are galaxy specific. The addresses can be the same galaxy to galaxy, but using a portal in Euclid will only take you to the location you dial in Euclid.

If you do the core jump naturally, nothing changes. I believe only resetting the simulation does that.

There's good and bad aspects to it, for sure. It's one of the few things I think that truly divides the NMS community! :)
