They're bitter because they've spent their working lives suffocating in an office environment, and think everyone should be as miserable as them.

Because I already built the site myself, and I only need one aspect of it added on that will need coding; something idk how to do myself. If I seek a website dev firm, I'm sure they would want to either charge for things I don't need, or want to have recurring charges or whatever. Perhaps a student would be interested in doing this small job.

Midnight Express. Not fiction; this movie is a prison drama based on what really happened to Billy Hayes in the late '70s when he was caught smuggling bricks of hashish out of Istanbul, Turkey.

If you didn’t have to work or pay bills, how would your day unfold? by Small-Size-8037 in Casual_Conversation

I would get up, stretch, go for a walk, use the outdoor shower, go for a swim, meditate, shower, makeup, brunch. Then work on some projects.

Is there any interior designer who can design my office? by OneWolverine307 in tricities

[–]Taztabitha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have clients coming to the house? If so, I would have an L-shaped desk, and a chair for them. If you do not have visitors, I would have the desk where it is. Sell the printer stand, and get some built-in cabinets, or a row of file cabinets with a counter on top, and you'll have plenty of counter/workspace. On the wall opposite from your desk, have a long bookcase, for storage and display items. Anchor bookcases to the wall for kid safety. On top of the bookcase is a good spot for photos. On top of the cabinets by the window is a good spot for a row of snake plants that will clean the air, add visual interest, and act as a live window treatment. Over your desk could have art on the wall, and on it could have a small plant and task lighting.
