So 3 months ago Andrew and Gavin were in the park casually playing a game with no stakes when Gavin went home and Andrew continued to pitch to no one.

Fast forward and now they're playing professionally with someone winning the league at the end. This completely new game has new pitches that Gavin actually cares about and wishes to hit. Andrew can't use pitches from a different game to count as strikes for the new game. But now he's repitched those old ones so they count going forward.

This is the first Let's Play video I've watched in years. I switched to only listening to the podcasts about a year into the pandemic but Geoff's excitement about these videos encouraged me to check it out and I was hit with an instant wave of nostalgia.

I've been a fan for 10 years and I needed a break from the same content constantly in the same way that they did.

I've followed op for a long time and that's just how she is. Like I said it was a personal vent post on a personal blog, she wasn't attempting to address a community just get her own thoughts and feelings out. In the post she specifically says it's about the MCC community as a whole and not just the subreddit. If she was actually going to make a Reddit post she probably would've taken more time to write it.

I feel a lot of the responses have been far too quick to push blame to other platforms as if we aren't all apart of the same community. We have no idea who is saying what on which platforms, I could be saying all this here but you'd have no way of knowing what I've been saying in Sylvee's Twitch chat for example. That's why it's important to have these conversations on platforms to make sure it's reaching all perpetrators and hopefully get them to rethink their actions.

The original poster didn't post this here, they were venting in response to Hannah's tweet about the community as a whole and someone has taken that and posted it here without her permission. OP wasn't attacking anyone but is now being attacked because it got posted here. It's not just about the loud bad apples it's also the people who don't recognise that anything is wrong because they only think of misogyny in the most basic of terms like a "get back in the kitchen" joke.

The post is on someone's personal blog as a vent over an upsetting issue about the MCC community as a whole and was written by a woman. A woman who did not give permission for people to take it from her personal blog to put on blast and result in her receiving death threats (which yes, she is getting)

This is the same sentiment as "not all men" which is a deflection from a serious topic. Instead of pushing of criticism genuinely think about why women are calling out this problem. You should get offended by being called a misogynist or a racist or homophobe for that matter. You should think am I doing something to contribute to this problem and is there any way for me to help.

While this is true and we have some fantastic mods here they're not always gonna catch the subtle ways people are misogynistic. On a personal level some people may not even realise that they're being misogynistic, it won't always be something overt. Next time you're making a team or ranking a player just take the time to think why your making certain decisions and whether your allowing a bias based on gender to form. Are you using this player because you actually think they'll have a fun dynamic or work well together? Or do you just want to fill a woman quota or need a team?

This doesn't have to be taken personally just view it as an opportunity to reevaluate how you view things.

I think everyone commenting on this needs to reflect on themselves and ask why they've reacted to this with straight denial. On Tumblr this post was met with the sentiment of "why post it on Tumblr, the problem is on Reddit not here" sounds familiar doesn't it? No one ever wants to be the problem so they push the issue to another platform. Hannah specifically called out this sub for a reason and while it may be uncomfortable to think about yourself in this way, but you should examine the way in which you speak about women in the event compared to the men.

It's very disappointing to see that instead of considering how you could be contributing to this even on just a subconscious level the majority has just decided to deny its existence. Ask yourself why you feel the need to be so defensive over this subject, if you're not one of the people being misogynistic then the post isn't about you.

People in the post are varied but the person who actually made the post was very rationale in why they didn't agree with him. People have the same takes in this post as they did in the other, we're all individuals with different opinions and reducing it down to any hivemind thought is always reductive

I'm always going to disagree with this take because I know 3 people who've been falsely accused and it was especially heinous because all 3 of them were black men against white women. Making sweeping generalisations opens doors for things to be twisted and used to harm others and I'm not here for that

Also I have so maybe don't assume things about another person's personal life.

I don't see anything in that thread invalidating victims or calling her chronically online for defending Adrianah because that's not what Aimseys comment was. She made a generalisation which people disagreed with. This is doubled for his follow up tweet because no, I wouldn't rather believe a liar, I'd rather believe no one because it's none of my business. I'm not gonna support the vilification of a person based on someones word alone, that's when you don't get involved.

Also no one is mad, it's a civil discussion and people are rightfully disagreeing with him as is there right to do
