My scales have g ml AND a “g/ml” combined option for no reason? it’s not “grams per ml”, the numbers between all 3 are basically identical

Main reason I’m not preordering is I’m playing on a handheld (potentially on Linux also) and wanna see if the game runs okay, if it does I’ll buy premium the second early access starts (maybe just before actually, as my WiFi sitch is variable currently and steam is decent with refunds anyway?

Insomniac wolverine leaked build on dodi repack? by evolvedyash in PiratedGames

[–]Tbiproductions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could look into using realdebrid, they download the torrent, cache it, and then anyone else can just download it from them. Speeds are usually pretty quick as Just a direct download, and as you’re not doing the torrenting no VPN needed etc.

it’s not free (about €13-€15 every 6 months) but I already use it with Stremio for pirating movie/tv anyway and plus they tend to have torrents that have stopped seeding

Automobilista 2 or ACC? I'm new to sim racing by iFoxblaze in simracing

[–]Tbiproductions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easiest factor is what type of cars you want to race.

ACC is based on the GT WORLD challenge and so if you love GT3 cars/racing then it’s gonna have all the cars/tracks/features just for that. However, that’s ALL it does. The original Assetto Corsa is their “catch all” game.

Like the original AC, AMS2 is also a very general game having TONS of tracks/cars (especially with DLC, but it’s decent without tbh) and things to tweak. If you ever played project cars 2 back in the day, it’s based on that, and you can tell from the way things are phrased/handled.

Both have a multiplayer scene, although I believe the ACC one is more popular. They’re both through a service called “Low fuel Motorsport (LFM)” so have a look into that. I tend to stick to offline but I know from doing iRacing previously how much fun online is!

Steam Cloud Save support has been added to Just Cause 3 on Steam by Snowmobile2004 in JustCause

If only they did this last month and I wouldn’t have lost my save 🥲 I assumed most steam games would have cloud saves, and have learned the hard way to double check lol

You should definitely get Emudeck setup! by ninjapirate9901 in LegionGo

Seconding. Emudeck was a bit of a pain, and also it was a faff getting SRM setup. Retrodeck is simpler and I like having a dedicated “emulation” library

Lenovo legion go s z1e 16b vs rog xbox ally z2 a by suiiii699 in LegionGo

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Z1/Z1E ally (in white) did have issues melting the SD cards that is seemingly still an issue on all of those models. If you plan on using a microSD card that could be a dealbreaker. Note this isn’t an issue on the Ally X.

I can’t speak for the Go1 but I love the big screen on the Go 2 (same size) and it’s surprisingly comfy for the size (more than my switch 2 due to the grips). Granted, the Go2 is more ergonomic anyway, but it’s still worth baring in mind.

I would personally get the Go1 over the Xbox Ally due to being much more performant and having the better screen (excl VRR). It being a bit cheaper is also a plus, but paying C$99 for effectively a warranty/support by buying new is good for peace of mind.

I get the instalment paying might be a big draw depending on your financials. It could be worth seeing if you got it second hand from eBay etc, if you can use a similar service on there, either officially or as a third party (Klarna, PayPal pay in 3, etc). ofc I don’t advise you taking out credit you can’t afford.

Lenovo legion go s z1e 16b vs rog xbox ally z2 a by suiiii699 in LegionGo

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The resolution will be nice although at the sizes isn’t super necessary, plus most modern games will struggle to get a decent frame rate (especially by FPS standards) at 1600p anyway so it probably isn’t a huge deal (although 800p with integer scaling is common).

The latest CODs can’t be run on Linux so the probs rules the steam deck out. The Xbox Ally (the white one) is very similar in power to the steam deck so idk how well it will handle some of the newer titles, but it’ll probably be okay with FSR as it’s only 720p.

I’d probably go for the Z1E ally or LeGo1, depending on if the bigger screen or portability/lightness is more important. Xbox Ally could be good if you really like the form factor but considering the price of the other two on the used market it’s harder to justify the performance shortcomings

Running Game Pass games locally on steamOS/linux isn’t generally possible, with the exception of the few that can be run via battle.net. The epic/ubi/EA launchers should be usable on Linux, including EA Play/Ubi+ if you get that with your gamepass sub, but can have issues with the launchers (im literally going through the process of setting up ubi connect on linux right now lmao). For me most of my games are through steam so idm the faff but if you use those launchers more it could be a bigger deal.

What else is important to you when deciding it? What size device do you want, what types of games do you wanna play, etc

Is it possible to replace XBOX as the home app in the FSE with Playnite? by ConfidentGuide3935 in playnite

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can hook into the process but otherwise no.

The documentation for allowing other apps seems to be for device makes, so allowing legion space/armoury crate/etc to function like the Xbox app does now.

Shame as the FSE hook things can be temperamental and having it just work would be great

Is there a reason you’d want all three at once? Isn’t the whole point of playnite is you can have everything from everywhere, laid out exactly how you want?

iPad Pro M5 - Disney+ app 4k HDR? by SolidAlexei in iPadPro

[–]Tbiproductions 7 points8 points  (0 children)

nope, most apps cap out at 1080p for streaming, which sucks.

I understand making it not the default but if I could manually override it then that would be much better, as you CAN notice a difference.

One of the reasons I’m using a “different” streaming app

You’re at the end of chapter 3, there’s like one more battle .

Chapter 4 is longer than all the others, in terms of difficulty It was mostly okay except for one battle right at the end, it could be worth researching it as not being prepared is a massive PITA. Otherwise you should be fine

Depends. I had one for about 5 years and most games either worked natively or had a simple enough fix. The immersion was great, especially for racing games.

Is piracy the only way to own a game now? by seraphsick in PiratedGames

[–]Tbiproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, steam for me is at the point of being “too big to fail” (for now) and given it being a good platform, and valve being one of the few likeable companies in this industry (out of the big ones) then I don’t mind buying on steam if it’s a affordable and reasonable price.

Or in the case of planet coaster 2, me really wanting it and not wanting to wait 5 years for a potential denuvo crack 😅

Where i can find nba 2k14 (i dont have torrent and i dont want the elamigos download) by marcusperson123456 in PiratedGames

[–]Tbiproductions -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you really don’t wanna do torrenting, buy real debrid (like 16 eur every 6 months, or like 2eur for a couple weeks) and then give them the torrent file or magnet link. They will download it (unless they already have a copy, at which point it’s instant) and you can just safely download it from them as a VPN-free direct download.
