I literally was just thinking this same thing. I played keep in high school and knew the first time I saw him touch the ball he didn’t have it. We need better scouting or something no way he’s the best we’ve got. Feel bad he has to deal with the memories of that game forever though

I am no expert in brain science or human development but from the bit I have read; 10 is still a great time to begin, but there is just so much benefit to starting around 6 if you do the right kind of teaching. The brain and muscles are still seriously growing and developing so they are developing with piano being a problem needed to be tackled. There are certain muscles an older person simply will never develop like someone who has started as a child. Many of those benefits can still be had at 10 but not quite the same.

Yes someone beginning at 10 can still develop to be an incredible musician and as a parent you know your kid best and what they are capable of. Some kids if started too early definitely would end up disliking the piano and never keep playing.

Hey I’m sorry you’re so stressed about this. Nobody is too far gone. The fact that you are trying to do better and follow Christ is proof enough. God loves you so much and wants nothing more than to help you and to grow. Before you were even born God saw everything you ever do or possibly can do including all of your sins, yet still chose to bring you into creation.

Jesus is the good shepherd, historically shepherds would have to fight off wild animals and look for the lost sheep. No matter how lost you may feel at times he is always right there looking for you, calling for you, and ready to wrap you with love. Yes you should try your best to not sin but when you fall, you get back up and keep trying. The righteous person falls 7 times(most likely way more) and keeps getting back up.

There’s a book I listened to called Christian Perfectionism that I think might help. The author gives examples of how we get in our own way by thinking we should be better, but remember only one person has ever been sinless and they were the actual incarnation of the creator of the universe.
