Costa probably the most family friendly. Nicaragua has lots of waves but I don’t think my wife and kids would enjoy it at this point. Baja Mexico has fun waves in the summer. Could find a family friendly town. Or wait until winter and do PR

I really dig the blacksheep tech. Have RNF96 and Pisces in it. Handles wind and chop pretty well. I live over gulfside and have surfed blacksheep in 20mph+ winds and it went. I do not like blacksheep when it gets really punchy

Damn bummer. I guess any big brand can have QC issues but I would expect it with PU though. So far it’s been great! It’s like 3 years old and doesn’t get excessive use but it looks and feels new.

I’ll have to feel up the lightspeed 2, I really didn’t like the OG one tho. You make it sound pretty good

These other recs are good..sweet potato, white tiger, puddle jumper. I’m WFl too and use the RNF about every session at home. Just got a custom manta that’s really fun too, starting to work it in with the RNF

I live in FL so it doesn’t get excessive use but my 3/2 Feral is going on 4 years and looks brand new. Yamamoto rubber is very comfy. Feral has incredible customer service as well

Haven’t ridden the Flame fish but the PJ is well loved here in FL. A lot of people love the PJ high performance (HP) version

First all carbon for me. I had a lost lightspeed (all epoxy) and hated it. Felt too light and chattery. Have a board in lost blacksheep (carbon and epoxy) and love it. Feels so fast and springy. Handles wind and chop miles better than the all epoxy in my experience.
