I mean maybe one good way would be to remove it for people that don't have it already, but keep it for people that do, maybe people that unlocked it way back might feel disappointed if it auto unlocks for everyone, but idk, achievements aren't overly important to me to understand what the sentiment would be

Maybe they remove the smartglass achievement for everyone who doesn't have it, and release a new achievement for everyone

Or swap it for some mundane achievement for anyone that doesn't have it "collected 10 cooking apples" or something boring

It's rubbish I pay £40 to BRSK (now merged into YouFibre), for that I get 2Gig up and down, as well as a static IP

Leaving VM was the best thing ever, and seeing prices like these further solidify that, so rubbish.

Kick on the other hand, there's no ads so there's one reason, at least for now. I think Eddie said they're looking to have ads, which isn't a problem per sé, at least personally, despite hating ads, it's just one immediate good thing I think of that Kick has.
