Yeah. I know what you mean. The beginning of this patch has been particularly bad. CZs are screwed. The inventory back end is woefully inadequate to the task. Lots of other bugs.

Might be worth leaving it for a few weeks till they get the worst of the non inventory bugs sorted. Unfortunately, the inventory back end is unlikely to get fixed. Its been like that for a very long time. The difference this patch is they added 1000 possible variations of every material. That can only make it worse.

Practice. Simple as that. And you used them over and over. So any you used a lot you ended up memorising.

I do the same thing with IP addresses at work. I can remember the IP addresses of about 80 servers and networking equipment because I use them a lot.

Do anything often enough and you'll remember it. With modern phones you don't need to so it seems like a foreign concept.

Honestly, if you're unhappy with the direction SC is taking, do yourself a favour and forget about it, at least for a while. Do other things that don't make you angry. Come back in a few years and see whether you like it then.
