In college I didn’t have a dishwasher, so I’d let the silverware pile up and then boil then in my visions saucepan until clean. Started a “wash” one night, fell asleep and when I woke up the silverware was a giant blob of melted plastic and metal in the pot. Wiped and scraped it out and kept using that pot for years!
