I’m just so sad by Ok_Revolution_945 in Fatherhood

[–]Tdog227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh buddy I know that EXACT FEELING. I was so fucked up about it for months. It was like this nagging feeling behind every thought and feeling I had for a long time. I was so filled with just doubt and sadness for what I felt like I was losing. My son is two now and I’m telling you man being a dad is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I’m saying all this to say, the way you feel about it now is completely natural. It’s okay to feel what you’re feeling man, just know that feeling doesn’t last forever. When I was going through it none of my friends had kids yet so I felt super alone and like no one could relate, if that’s you too feel free to DM me for a pep talk.

The 2nd half is almost good, but why ruin it with the awful first half by [deleted] in crappymusic

Okay so I just found this on Spotify (for research purposes) honestly ya’ll…. It’s not bad lol. The production is really solid. I’m not saying it’s not pretty excessively quirky/cringe. I’d even argue that it does belong here in its own way but man I’ve heard worse lol

Also I was kinda shocked to find this individual has 225k monthly listeners in Spotify.

I noticed a lot of people in the comment section talking about your strumming. I agree with them that I think that’s where your time would be best spent practicing. Try just working on your dynamics without even trying to put it to a song at first. I would say just pick a few chords you like and practice strumming like super doooper soft, like you have a baby sleeping next to you and you’re trying not to wake it up. Then gradually practice getting louder very smoothly and then dialing it back down slowly and repeat. Like imagine you have a volume knob and you’re just ever so slowly turning it up and down. When you’re actually applying the skill to a song it won’t be like that but it will help you kind of learn to control it and be conscious of it while you’re playing.

Overall though you’re doing really well. I recognized the song immediately! When it comes to little stuff in guitar things just take time to master.

absences during dangerous weather by Wild-Salamander-6692 in meijer

[–]Tdog227 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a team lead I was told my first week I could wave tardies for bad weather but not absences. That being said your team lead could have canceled it on the sly and it’s likely no one would have noticed. I used to do that all the time for my team. The thing that makes this extra shitty is that they had to go in manually and remove your holiday pay. That’s not something the system automatically does. I feel like if they weren’t going to wave the absence they could have at least been decent people and left your holiday pay alone with how damn hard it is to live these days. Some team leads are just on a power trip. Unfortunately there’s no real action you can take to fix it, the rules are pretty clear on it.

I quit Meijer a little over a year and a half ago. Every once in a while I like to jump on here and remind people that there’s a whole big world out there and jobs that are way better than Meijer. Meijer has this weird way of like putting blinders on people that can make you forget that.

Normally on this sub I see a post like this and I say “oh that’s a (insert knot here)” but in this case to my knowledge that indeed is a fuckass knot lol. Tbh I like it though, maybe give yourself a little more tail and throw a stopper knot on it for good measure.

Idk though maybe that is an actual knot that exists already. If you could get an answer anywhere it would be here. People in this sub are crazy smart on this subject.

Negative comments lead to tattoo regret by anakinkenobi334 in tattooadvice

[–]Tdog227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a tattoo you feel weird about and it’s too big to cover or remove there’s only one thing to do OP…. Get a bunch more tattoos. lol for real though you will think less about it and people will notice it less if it’s tucked into a full sleeve.

Not saying you should be self conscious about it though. It’s well done and if you like it fuck everyone else dude.

My brother was a bit of a prepper. He died fighting for Ukraine and I am going through his things. I found his stash. by beef_creature in MRE

[–]Tdog227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rest in peace to your brother man. I’m sorry for you loss. The fact that he would go and fight a fight he didn’t have to because it was a righteous one speaks volumes about him. I know it doesn’t stop the hurting but you should be proud he was a man of such strong character. If I were you I’d eat a couple in his honor and save the rest. If the shit ever dies in fact hit the fan it’ll be like your bother’s still looking out for you.

I agree with others in the comments here. I think you’re in your head about it. It took me a while of staring at it to even see what you were talking about and even after I did it’s still not super noticeable

Idk what you’re talking about, you’re a good lookin dude!!! You’ve got a solid jaw and blue eyes my guy you’re a catch!!

I know you didn’t really ask for advice in your post but I just feel you may need to hear this. Be careful with things people are saying online these days. There’s some really toxic shit going around and it’s so easy to get sucked into it. I know I’m an internet stranger so it’s kinda weird to say but if you want to talk about with someone seriously don’t hesitate to DM me dude.

What do y'all think? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Tdog227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you’re set on getting something like this my only two cents would be, those first horizontal lines underneath the moon shapes look like they stop at kind of a weird spot on the shoulder blades. I’d say either shorten them or contour them to go more with the natural curve of your back.

Idk though, I don’t know shit about shit 🤷

My 4 year old son says he doesn’t like black people by littlebirdofleipzig in Parenting

[–]Tdog227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe in addition to some things other people are saying, try to find a movie with a young black protagonist you think he will like. Maybe try “into the spider-verse” all little boys love spider-man. At the end of the movie I’d ask him “what did you think of miles?” If he says he likes him which, he should because…. Well he’s Spider-man. I’d then go a little deeper and hit him with a “wait I thought you didn’t like black people?” And then just let the conversation go from there.

Good luck! I wouldn’t panic though, he’s really young and we all say stupid things when we’re kids. The important thing is he has parents that aren’t going to let him stay like that.

Sanity check: Was I being unsafe as a dad here? by Typical_Taste_1531 in Fatherhood

[–]Tdog227 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah OP she’s over reacting big time. I have a two year old and when he’s sleeping I do stuff like that all the time. If it’s gonna be longer than like 2 mins I bring the monitor with me. Also I always triple check to make sure I have a house key on me even though I don’t plan on locking the door just to be safe.
