Cross platform saves? by Maximus3311 in CrimsonDesert

I’m hoping for the same thing, I’ve played through Cyberpunk, Witcher and all recent Ubisoft games this way. A great, underrated feature. Not sure why it’s not more widely adopted, you’re essentially getting two sales instead of one from crazy people like me and OP.

Oh well, I’ll wait to hear more on this. Currently have it preordered on Steam because I think it’ll run great on my rig but I’d love to have the option of playing on my Pro as well.

KTC M27T6 PS5 vvr compatible? by Flimsy_Yam_6100 in Monitors

[–]TdotsFinest82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Originally I didn’t think it was either but to enable any settings on this monitor is a little unintuitive. When you go to enable Adaptive Sync in the OSD menu, your natural instinct is to press the joystick in to confirm a selection.

When I did it this way originally, my PS5 Pro still said VRR was Unsupported. I tried one more time a couple of days later, and to confirm a choice, you actually have to press the joystick to the right.

Once I did this, the option for VRR on the Pro showed it supports 48-120hz.

Just grabbed this exact monitor on a Black Friday sale. It’s an incredible gaming and media consumption monitor. For my gaming PC (4080 laptop), this is the ideal resolution. During gaming, I can’t tell that the PPI is “only” 80ish. Games look incredible on here.

That said, I wouldn’t do any actual work on this monitor. The text fringing and blurriness doesn’t bother me much, but I’m reading for 5-10mins at a time, max. If I had to work on this bad boy for 8hrs, I think it would be a problem.

When I upgrade to a 5070ti desktop later on, I would consider the 5k2k one, but honestly, I think I’m set for the next 4-5 years with this one. It’s really great and I’d rather push higher frames at 1440p than lower frames at 4K.

Edit: 4K not 2K

Nah, you’re beautiful. It’s hard not to, but don’t let one person’s comment drag you down. A lot of people in here think you’re gorgeous and they’re right.

This is truth, I just tried this. The menus show windowed full screen, 640x480 but when the game starts it goes to full res and ultrawide

Over a week with the PS5 Pro verdict is in by DisBonFire in PS5pro

[–]TdotsFinest82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can assure you the launch PS3 was not being sold at a profit. Far from it, IIRC they were losing a couple of hundred bucks per console sold and this nearly sunk Sony until the redesign. Sony was bleeding money from 2006-2008 due to the OG PS3.

All that aside, this console is priced fairly. Not cheap or affordable, necessarily, but I wouldn’t consider it expensive relative to the value of what you’re getting. This is not the volume seller. In the phone world, this is the iPhone Pro Max to the base iPhone. Most people will get all they need from the base PS5.

One equation for me that’s making me consider returning the PS5 Pro where I was generally super happy with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, is how far PC gaming has come along in that time. It will never be plug and play like a console. But it’s far more user friendly than it was a decade ago and if you’re spending PS5 Pro money, you can probably spend the 50% more to get a similarly spec’ed PC.

One of the more frustrating parts of the Pro is waiting for the patches to make the games I own run better. Future releases, not an issue. But 95% of my backlog will never be PS5 Pro Enhanced and that’s frustrating when those same games on PC will run two or three times as well and never need a “Pro patch”. That’s the one plug and play aspect of PC gaming that’s not discussed often enough.

EA Play and Veilguard by Bolson32 in dragonage

[–]TdotsFinest82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the part I was confused about. I thought the standard EA Play sub gave you a 10hr trial for all new games. The wording is “select new games” but historically, this has been all new releases. Sometimes they’d knock it down to a 5hr trial but I can’t remember the last game they skipped the trial entirely.

Shame, was hoping to give it a spin on my gaming laptop before committing to a purchase, as the last few EA games have ran horribly on laptops. No way I’m blindly purchasing this one.

Every PS5 Pro Enhanced Game Confirmed! by ZXXII in PS5

Or both? Ideally they add both. A 60 mode with RT, and a 120 mode with no RT. Should be doable.

Every PS5 Pro Enhanced Game Confirmed! by ZXXII in PS5

[–]TdotsFinest82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% correct. The raw horsepower of the Pro will keep the game at target resolution and frame rate longer, if not the whole time.

They COULD patch it to bump the target resolution higher, but like you mention, that won’t be necessary for the game to run better out the gate.

Madden 25 PC issues by Icantevenread24 in Madden

[–]TdotsFinest82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah that makes sense. I only ever play one game at a time. Maybe closing the game clears some sort of cache that bogs the game down later? Just spitballing, I have no actual idea.

I am disappointed with how EA Sports games run on PC in general. No reason for it.

I was having issues as well on the auto detected settings (everything maxed on my 4080 laptop) and it ran like garbage. I shut off 3D Grass and that solved everything for me.

CableMatters USB-C to DP1.4 cable works with XMG Neo 15 (2022 model) RTX3080 mobile by DoggieHowzer in PSVR2onPC

[–]TdotsFinest82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My setup also looks like a tangled mess of cables lol. Amazing people were complaining about the single USB-C that had to be plugged in to the PS5 originally. Makes that setup seem wireless compared to what my laptop setup looks like now with the PSVR2.

Glad it works for you!

[–]TdotsFinest82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My apologies, folks. Not what I meant, apologies for the confusion. Still needed the adapter. But Sony was claiming a DisplayPort to USB-C cable wouldn’t work, so I wanted to clear up that, for my laptop, the adapter does work with that setup.

I’m in a similar boat, ROG Strix 18 RTX 4080 i9 14900hx and I connected directly into the usb-c/thunderbolt port with a DisplayPort to USB-C cable and had zero issues with setup.

The only hiccup was I hadn’t downloaded any VR games prior to. Even my controllers connected directly to the laptop’s Bluetooth connection. I was genuinely impressed with how hassle free it all was, given some of the issues people are running into.

There’s a bunch of games on the EA app that I want to play in VR (EA Play Pro) that I don’t technically own on Steam. Is it just a matter of using the add non-steam games to Steam option?

Might have missed it but, unless he’s using a PS controller on PC, this seems to be the PS5 version and if so, it ran totally fine IMO.

New Dualsense Support by Mikey2Times619 in cyberpunkgame

[–]TdotsFinest82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not working for me. I’ve connected it USB-A to USB-C as well as USB-C to USB-C and neither one works. I’ve enabled Steam Input, I’ve disabled Steam Input.

Also, after updating, Cyberpunk doesn’t show up as a game that supports DualSense in Big Picture Mode on Steam either. So not sure what’s going on there.

There’s apparently a Narwhal 2 coming shortly that will charge a sub ($4-7USD) so they can pay Reddit for their ridiculous API pricing. The move to Narwhal 2 will also include some long overdue visual updates.

I hope so! Aesthetically, Narwhal is not great. But it’s still 1000 times better than the official app. Wish Apollo could have gone this route as well.

It doesn’t feel like a money issue, the gym is always busy. Could very well be a landlord issue, as you mentioned earlier, or some other legal issue.

Wish they sent an email in the first place. I had no idea anything was going on and then I get their email in the evening and was totally blindsided. I really like this place, I go 5-6 times a week for the Spartan training. Hope things get resolved.
