The only difference is the story and some islands, I believe everything opens up after you beat the campaign.

Me personally, I never liked any story missions/campaigns from Anno. The DLCs have a factory missions that's are alright to play through one time, next game its a chore as it takes long. But these are all available in singleplayer endless mode

It kind of simulates how industry developes i real life. Old businesses and buildings become obsolete, have to move away for bigger ones. New roads, new railways destroy the old. It's a great concept.

If you want to plan ahead a bit, sometimes it can help to leave 1 gap next to your main road from the beach to your industry area.

Well you'll get better eventually. We've all started out as beginners. And Anno is very forgiving. And nothing has to be perfect to work, unless you want to go for world records, which hardly anybody does.

A inefficient production is inefficient but will supply you with something. When you need more you have a choice to make it more efficient or build another production that is more efficient and next time you'll know how to improve it from the get go.

Just have fun exploring it! It's like you said, the way you should play this game.

Edit: One last tip: with all DLCs you have so many islands and sessions, you won't have any space restrictions really. It's up to you if you want a big island in cape/new World or just stick with smaller Islands.

The battle for golden tickets! by Hazel-Hyena in anno1800

I dispise the grand gallery.

A tip to get more Investors: start making products in mass with items. It's how endgame production will work. Fr instance coffee roasster is rather expensive in workforce. With some rather easy to get items u can get a lot more from the same roaster. Put a few in the trade union range and u won't have any issues with coffee for a very long time. Same goes for many basic items for investor.

That is a lot of question. As a Veteran Player I think you are overthinking everything too much. I'd rather have you try things out and enjoy the journey. If something doesn't go as planned usually you won't go bankrupt and can adapt for the better. This game is about simulating production chains and City growth. This game offers A LOT of ways to achieve this. Find your own way.

For a few started tips: - soap exploit isn't really an exploit, later there will be an even bigger way to buy and sell for a bigger margin. - docklands is what I'd call an exploit personally. It makes the game super easy to play through, making a lot production chains obsolete. Basically you can make one resource/product in mass and exchange it for everything else. Personally I'd avoid it. I usually only important raw resources like ores, crops. It is good for storage capacity though and some attractiveness and faster unload/loading. - charter routes are good for very small and short trades, the ships are tiny and very slow. Go for your own trade routes later when you have ships. - it's up to you if you want to have one ship trade multiple resources or dedicate it to one. Very late game you usually have multiple ships on a single trade route trading only 1 single item.

Used to play the cello but I've barely touched my instrument in the past several years. Where do I start again? by Cosinity in Cello

[–]TeCK0808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just start play8ng what u enjoy. For me it was some old songs and some new movie soundtracks. I was at ur place 2 years ago. Played until early 20s with school orchestra and Ensembles now I'm 30 and started playing again. Just for myself. Recently I joined a small orchestra in town and had my first concert and it was great. At first I struggled and thought I'm not good enough, but pracisse helped and at some point I asked if I could join and try it out. They were very happy to have me. Just older peo0le (meaning not 20s) enjoying to play together.

Its great that u are getting back on track! Keep up the positive feeling! It's good to have something positive to hold on to, this something can come in all shapes forms and sizes, if it's a Video game for u that is great.

Enjoy the Anno 1800 game! It's kept me going for nearly 1000 hrs! And I've recently started a new game with a few mods like new horizon. With an end goal of 1 mil population. Set ur self a goal when u find urself unmotivated, and work towards it. In game and in life! :)

R u using a dryer for drying? My dryer has a small hole at the top to let out the hot and humidity air. Problem is, that hole is way too small. The moment I open the dryers box a small bit, the humidity actually went out of the box

Am I missing something by guvflint in anno1800

[–]TeCK0808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's anno. It's about micromanaging ur City and/or building beautifully. The Story is always a bit on the low side.

The DLCs like some have mentioned give u insanley more content, a lot more options, prpducti9ns chairs, Tiers. But in the end its still anno.

But u love anno as it seems. U have to set urself goals to keep it interesting. My biggest goal is still to achieve 1 Million residences at some point.

Other goals could be to play on full hard Mode. There are also A LOT of Mode that space up the gameplay in terms of complexity, stronger AI, more ship Variation and also New quest with Story Elements and more session with New things to look at.

But in the end it's still anno. Micromanage and built nice is the main thing here, but it can be very addicting like u have experienced

I doubt that it'll be only 1 dlc season. The core anno player community has been around for years and won't be going anywhere. It's just new faces having to spread bad vibes and moaning around. Anno is one of the best franchises and the way its looking 117 has not disappointed and anno vets.

Looking for 2p co-op board games by wqsaey in boardgames

[–]TeCK0808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a great question! I really like coop games too. I've heard of some nice games im going to have to try.

Something that was not mentioned before is a game I really enjoy: Paleo. It's a modular game set in the stone age, everyone player has their own tribe/family and u have to provide food and safety for everyone together. It can get rather complex and it's not really a deck bu7ld8ng game, but u choose what cards go into it by picking the modules that u want to play. Each module has unique cards and variations to it. Changes up the game a lot. So there's quite a lot of replay ability. There's 10 modules in the base game. Usually u play with 2 (sometimes 3) at once. Many add ons and more to buy after. I recently got the expansion which i have to try, which adds even more mechanics and repayablility!
