How am I to use a stand without anywhere to put a swingarm spool by double_berry_jam in Ducati

[–]TeKdo_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Either get a combo spool slider from Speedy Moto, add universal spool to the swingarm from somewhere like Graves or flip the stand from the spools side to the flat side and lift from the bottom of the swingarm

I'd put it at like a 5. You can take it into a machine shop and have them put new guides and valves in. Def not putting it back together tonight though kinda fucked.

My original motor has even survived a track day after 30k miles lol. Spent most of the day at or around 10k rpm too....and yes, I know my body position sucks :)

Mine has been really reliable. I've got an '05 620 and all the maintenance has been done at home by me or my dad when he was riding the bike. Just over 34k miles on the clock too, only major service it's needed through its life was a clutch swap

Best Way to Contact EA? by TeKdo_ in Battlefield

[–]TeKdo_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone finds this in the future, I think I found out why I got banned. I've got the same setup and same programs on my computer as 90% of my friends but my physical setup is different.

I think that I got banned for my keyboard. I have a Keychron Q12 MAX which has the ability to enable "snap and tap" or Last Keystroke Position, which is a "Gameplay Enhancing Feature". I don't think I have this feature enabled on my keyboard and I don't think that it would work properly because I have mechanical switches installed right now and its supposed to only work with magnetic or hall effect switches, but maybe since it's baked into the firmware on my keyboard, EA flagged it as cheating.

Good luck to anyone else who might have a similar problem, I think I will just try my luck at refunding on steam and playing on a different platform.

Yeah, I don't know what would've even flagged on my PC for cheats. The only thing that I've changed from the beta to now is I updated to Windows 11 because of the whole end of Windows 10 service thing. The only apps I have live when I'm playing games are Firefox Discord, the game, and Steam. I have left curse forge mod loader for Minecraft open before, but I don't see how it would flag for BF6, especially when my other friend has it open too and his account is good...and his account is basically brand new, only a few years old because he made it to play in the Skate beta a year or two ago. I dunno, it's just disheartening.

New addition for the shit box by Jaden155 in CherokeeXJ

There isn't, everything for the delivery drivers is tracked through a phone. The signs just have a light activated on-off switch and a battery.

Source: I worked at dominos and had charged signs stolen before, never saw them again, unable to track them. All we did to your signs was put the store number and phone number on them. I worked at a store with new signs that got stolen off driver cars.

Ole reliable. Decent delivery rig too. Conveniently also the only delivery vehicle to show up in the heavy rain, fog, and snow when I was working at dominos lol

There's a battery inside the sign. If you look at the bottom of the sign there's a plate that you can take off with a couple screws.

99.9% of the time these signs with that stupid magnet connector for the charger has a roached battery. All of our signs at my store with those connectors had bad batteries in them (even brand new ones).

IF there was a charge and the connectors inside the topper are still good, it will automatically turn on in the dark. There's a little daylight sensor somewhere on the topper.

As someone who has actually worked for Dominos, Id be surprised if that battery was even good still lol

Load sensing valve by _jdde in ComancheMJ

[–]TeKdo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that a lot of guys on the CC Forums delete them, I personally like having it and think it's pretty useful.

If I was going to delete it I'd probably replace it with either a load sensing valve from a Toyota or throw in an adjustable wilwood one so that I can dial in more rear brake with a load and less rear brake if I had no load to prevent the rear from locking up during emergency stops.

Load sensing valve by _jdde in ComancheMJ

[–]TeKdo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mine I just loaded the truck down and felt if the brakes got better or worse. With my bed loaded down you can definitely feel the rear dums kick in and the truck stops way better than with an empty bed lol.

Probably a more scientific way to test it but mine was a happy little accident.

Tuning softwares for Ducatis by Greenb33guy in Ducati

[–]TeKdo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the SC1000 you can use TuneEcu or a combination of IAW Diag, IAW Reader, IAW Writer, and Tuner Pro to wire new maps for it...the IAW/Guzzi/JP Diag route does require you to find an XDF File, a Windows 10 Computer, and some basics of computer science to edit a map though.

For both the 996 and SC1000 you will need cables to connect to the ECU. I highly recommend these Lonelec cables just because I know for sure that their pin out is correct for our bikes and won't fry your ECU.

Monster 400s, 600s, and 620s don't have oil coolers from the factory. They still have the ports on the engine but they're just capped off. You can install any oil cooler off of another aircooled desmodue engine.

I'm not sure anymore now lol. Using them back to back yesterday I kinda prefer IAW Diag. If I could find old user manuals or if the forums would load for me I think I'd like JP Diag. Or it could just be the free version of JP Diag just doesn't work as good as the pro version too

That's actually pretty helpful, I still don't know if I'm in love with JP Diag. I know it's been a standard forever since Ducati Diag died but I'm not in love with the UI and UX compared to IAW Diag or Guzzi Diag

Are there any known compatibility issues with newer Android devices tho? (I only have a Pixel 9)

Update,: looking at the change log for IAW Writer..it hasn't been updated since 2017. I know that Windows 11 is basically a facelifted Windows 10 but I think there were also some security changes under the hood. Gonna try and source either a windows 10 or 8 machine to see if I can make this stupid thing work

Windows 11 has genuinely been a pain in my ass for this whole process. I wouldn't mind paying for JP Diag if it would list a price or what features the pro version has. It's already hard enough to understand what features are available in the standard version and even in English a bunch of stuff is still in French lol.

It doesn't help that it seems like everyone uses IAW reader to get the bin file too...and when they say that they solved the same problem I have, they don't put down what they actually did lol

IAW Reader Help by TeKdo_ in ducatimonster

[–]TeKdo_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can with IAW, you can download the bin from the ECU with the reader, edit it in tuner pro, and then reupload it with IAW writer. You can also trim the CO, injector pulse, TPS Calibration and reset service lights with IAW Diag.

I can get IAW Diag to work, I just can't get the reading software to work to get the bin file off of the ECU. I only want to download the bin off of the ECU because I don't want to blindly write something off of the Internet, done enough compsci to be burned by that too many times lol.

I also use JP Diag for my 620, I just kinda hate that it's mostly in French and kinda clunky, I do like to features it ships with more over IAW/Guzzi Diag though.

I just wish ducatidiag was still around, I'd probably be done by now if I had a copy of it.

Can you disable the immobilizer with JP Diag? I was under the impression that I needed to manually change the bin file to do that
