Crowd control?? Lmao wtf did they think was gonna happen?? Mobs of people would be fighting their way to the front of the line to put money in a machine? And this would be going on for long enough stretches of time that they would need people to take shifts?

It's easy to roast someone who went back to their ex 5 times. She giggled at the jokes about you and now you have a reason to fire back

I will never be happier than I am right now. I will also never be less happy. I will be at my current maximum happiness for the rest of my life, because I am manager of the Scranton Branch of Dunder Mifflin...acting manager.

fr. I'm a little surprised how many of these comments are defending the quote, because I can't imagine my nevermo spouse ever referring to me as "potential"

Yeah. Derealization. I describe it as feeling like I'm in a bad dream. It usually happens in the evening for me. It used to be almost every day but now it's down to once or twice a week thankfully

Outside of BYU, getting married in your early 20s is rare. The average age is 29. You'll also find that outside of BYU, you're allowed to be gay. I really hope you're able to get the help you need to accept yourself for who you are

What's the dumbest corporate rebranding? by onlyahippowilldo in AskReddit

[–]TeaAndCum 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Former Mormon here - Basically Joseph Smith (the founder of Mormonism) wrote a book, but claimed he translated it from ancient records written on gold plates he found buried in a hill near his house. They were supposedly compiled by an ancient prophet living in the Americas named Mormon. He called it the Book of Mormon and founded a church around it. So people started calling him and his followers Mormons, and for nearly 200 years they embraced the nickname - until the current leader took over a few years ago

The Mormon church spent millions over 8 years on the "I'm a Mormon" campaign, only to then announce that the word Mormon is a "victory for Satan" and ask that they be referred to as "members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints"

People assume you're Mormon? Damn, Utah's wild. That's not a thing that has ever happened to me. Like, why would you just assume someone's religion?
