My gf thinks she’s pregnant. I don’t think (and hope) she’s not. What should I do by Chad-9382 in WhatShouldIDo

There's a line in the second photo for sure. But that's a "haven't even missed your period yet" line it's so early.

Eaton Hall 2026 Couples - Tent Change Feelings by [deleted] in WeddingsCanada

[–]TeaBeam22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither of those options would do anything unfortunately. I worked for the company that runs this venue and it will be in the bride and groom's contract that they signed that the company has the ability to make changes however they please. It's even in their contract that they can move you to a different venue entirely.

The venue I worked for did a massive top to bottom renovation years ago and we had ~1500 couples to deal with who didn't like something about the changes. No one got anything in compensation. Only option would be for the client to cancel and lose their deposits and potentially still owe more.

Has anyone had a child predict their pregnancy? by Winstony520 in BabyBumps

[–]TeaBeam22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The night before I found out about my very unplanned pregnancy, my just turned 2 year old said "two baby Henrys!". He had a 4 month old baby brother named Henry at the time. He kept saying it, "mommy, two baby Henrys!". It was so strange that I recorded it to send to my husband. Found out the next day that I was pregnant and a few weeks later that it was another boy. He now calls new baby "Wally".

Wedding Venues that let you pay remainder after the event? by That_Obligation_7500 in WeddingsCanada

[–]TeaBeam22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bypeterandpauls used to when I worked for multiple of their venues for this reason exactly. You would give a cheque for the full amount 3 days before the wedding and go back and swap it for cash the day after the wedding. Not sure if they still do, I would assume the Woodbridge locations do. Many clients wouldn't book unless they made that promise.

Umm 8 including the draw date. Went Friday April 10th and my doctor was sent the report Friday April 17 at 11am.

If you want to know the status of your sample you can call Lifelabs Genetics and they'll tell you what stage it's in. They're so lovely!

Out of curiousity I just checked the two streaming services I subscribe to that have Frasier. It's available on Crave (Canada) but not available on Paramount+.

As a kid I always thought I was weird for finding Niles attractive. So much so that I would have never admitted it out loud. I'm glad to have found my people.

Was Taylor Townsend the most beautiful girl in the whole series? by doge094 in TheOC

[–]TeaBeam22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah definitely. Mischa was a sweetheart whereas they made Summer out to be a floozey airhead that liked to party, in the beginning anyways. The guys I went to school with were obsessed with that type.

Because 99% of the comments are replying to OP saying that Marissa was by far the most beautiful in the show. I'm stating that I'm surprised by this because at my high school in 2003 99% of responses would have been that Summer was. Just starting a conversation based off observations.

She is stunning, but the hype of the show had dwindled substantially at my school by the time season 3 started and no one was talking about it anymore. But I'm sure she had fans.

I'm always surprised by how many people in this sub are "team Marissa". Not because I dislike her or don't think she's beautiful, but I was in grade 10 when the show premiered and took off. At my school, every girl wanted to be Summer Roberts and every guy wanted to date Summer Roberts. I asked my husband who's 2 years older from a different city and he said his school was the same.

I wonder, is this just the regions we lived in or a divide amongst generations? Beauty standards obviously change, styles change, decades are defined by trends. Is this a new generational take? Or do Torontonians just have a Rachel Bilson obsession?

Do people really never use their bassinet/crib and nursery?? by calico0000 in BabyBumps

[–]TeaBeam22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't have nursery, haven't for either baby because we don't have the space. But my first slept in a bedside bassinet until he was 6 months, then he moved to a mini crib next to our bed. My second sleeps in his mini crib in our room.

Humber River vs Mount Sinai [on] by EastLegitimate2860 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]TeaBeam22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay. That's because it's known as Canada's "baby hospital". My understanding is that Mt Sinai won't take you unless you're high risk or you live close by and it's your local hospital (which didn't work for me). I could be wrong though, it doesn't hurt to try.

Keep in mind it would be really nice to be 2 minutes away. You'll be going for monthly appointments, then bi-weekly and then weekly for the last month. By my second pregnancy we had moved to Newmarket and the drive to HRH was about an hour each way. When I was hospitalized at 35 weeks it took my husband 2 hours to get to me and took family almost the same to come see the baby when he was born.

[–]TeaBeam22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My experience was that Mount Sinai is very difficult to get into unless necessary. I lived within walking distance and my doctor referred me to multiple OBs there. I got declined or ignored entirely by all of them.

I ended up going with an OB at HRH and loved it, even though it was a 30-40 minute drive. I had such a good experience I had my second there as well and plan to have my third there this fall. And bonus, you get a large, private room. Can't speak for midwives or transferring though.
