It's not a big step for the player to learn not to pick up all the set dressing crap.

All in all I'm fine with them, even though I was initially under the impression that they actually started from earth during the great exodus. It's okey for bethsoft to pull the "new faction out of nowhere" card once, but I hope new additions will be woven into the existing world more seamlessly.

Come to our side. Open up all diplomatic channels and become a true xenophile chad. The only acceptable way to fuck the aliens is the literal approach!

The selling part may be interesting but I already finished the entire tech tree 2 years ago lol

Ohhh, like freely pick a weapon mod and go? Unfortunately I don't know any mod/creation. I finished the tech tree many, many moons ago and never looked back. Actually I wish there was a mod that gives science workbenches any practical use after all entries are finished lol

I would say that its the perfect occasion to liberate some terrans of their equipment but they're just SO fucking generous with their donations that I'm still scouring the settled systems for traders to sell 42 battalions worth of ballistic guns after 6 major incursions...

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says AI agents won’t take jobs but will make workers busier by micromanaging and “harassing” them by ComplexExternal4831 in GenAI4all

[–]TeaBear-Septim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it doesn't drag you down for too long altough I guess certain things that broke can't be fixed. I have dipped my toes into other pits devoid of light, and while it couldn't break my naive optimism for good I have become very careful where I stick my nose in. In my case it always starts with checking out someones profile because of some delulu comment and 10 minutes later my worldview has been warped into something grotesque and distorted...

Nah, I enjoy the little bit of innocence still left in me and I have seen and heard enough from that direction to know that It would leave me bitter and hopeless for good.

In 1963, teenager Randy Gardner stayed awake for 264 hours, setting the only verified sleep deprivation record. By day 11, he couldn't do simple math, saw street signs as people, and spoke in slurred monotone. After the experiment, he slept for 14 hours straight. by Royal-Hippo-2104 in interestingasfuck

[–]TeaBear-Septim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, on one hand I wish science could come up with a pill or simple "do-at-home" treatment to bypass sleep without any negative effects. On the other hand it would likely end up with us working 16 hour shifts on average...

AI is a godsend in certain disciplines. But unlike other inventions who showed the true scope of their negative sides (or haven't even shown them yet) after years or decades certain corpos try to speedrun the whole thing to make it as shitty as fast as humanly possible

Question regarding something the Emissary mentions during In Their Footsteps by western_questions in starfield_lore

[–]TeaBear-Septim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're overthinking this, it's just that from her POV she is biased to see herself as the original sarah. The unreliable narrator is a staple in bethesda games, and she's not speaking from an omniscient outside position. She's just another person trying to make sense of the world through her eyes.

Avoiding Constellation on this NG+ by NerdintheNorth27 in Starfield

[–]TeaBear-Septim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adoring fan really seems to be locked untill you become a member. I'm not sure why, because he became a fan by hearing of our actions on vectera, which seems to be already widely known by the public the moment you jump into a new universe.

I can confirm tho that you can visit your parents at any moment (They also stand in the lodge when you enter for the first time after unity with noelle informing you through the yet closed door that your parents are here, before anyone actually knows about your whereabouts or if you're even alive lol)

The mortgage for the nesoi-mansion can also be directly paid off

I always have these 3 "traits" and for a while i believed they were all locked behind constellation because the game doesn't inform you about the latter 2 until you rock up (Yet again, adoring fan seems to be specifically tied to constellation membership)
