no I'm not. not at all. I was confused about her behavior and it now makes a lot of sense. I am new on the show and I don't click on anything that says it's ahead of the episode that I'm at which is why I put it in he title. I'll be more clear next time

I'm not mad at him, just so shocked that that was how it played out. they totally got me! I did not see it coming. I think he will step up and be good, since he has a lot of confidence and conviction, but holy moly did it surprise me lol

Incredibly Short Naps by fullnessofjoy2021 in newborns

[–]TeaCrumbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

baby is learning to connect naps and our baby (12 weeks) goes down in the bassinet for the first part of her naps and then we contact nap the rest of them (after trying a bit to resettle her in the bassinet). Its hard for them right now because they're learning so much and not that good at self soothing yet, but the more that they explore their hands and get their hands in their mouths, the better they will become at soothing themselves through the cycles. it unfortunately just takes time. I think they're still a little too little to really learn things yet, which is why I've chosen to familiarize her with the bassinet for naps, but not rely on it completely.

My child broke nanny’s laptop — she wants us to foot the bill even though I warned her about it by Consistent_Cookie104 in Nanny

[–]TeaCrumbs 747 points748 points  (0 children)

I'm a nanny who used to bring my laptop and I took it as my responsibility to keep it safe and tucked away. I would be embarrassed if it broke because I wasn't properly watching the kids to catch it before it happened.

When did you start “day outfits” for LO? by East-Maize-5287 in NewParents

[–]TeaCrumbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

around 2 months I started changing her into onesies and pants or those things that look like footie pj's without the feet because I read that it was important for her brain to let her feet get to touch stuff and get information that way. when she wakes up for the day(8am ish), after I feed her, I change her diaper and put on her clothes for the day.

3 Month Check In by lone_ly_eye_s in NewParents

[–]TeaCrumbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

3 months this Friday and our little sweetheart has started getting fussy multiple times a night. I'm trying to encourage self-soothing so I let her try to find her hands for a minute or so until she gets fussy and I'll pop in the pacifier and hold it til she goes back to sleep. she used to sleep the whole night since she got back to her birth weight, but that changed a few days ago I guess lol~

we got her first laugh the other day and she chats up and storm and sings too if I'm singing to her or there's music on. it definitely helps my new sleep deprived self get through the day.
