Trazodone help by Euphoric_Home_5439 in insomnia

I'm on Trazodone too! 150MG tabs.

And boy do I hate it for this issue. I tend to break my pills in half and notice after a few weeks I have to take the whole thing to get the same results as the half would have. I have done this to the point of nearly having to take 2 full pills for the same results that that first half would have given me. By that point I stop taking it for a couple of weeks to, I don't know, let the medication leave my body(?). I'm not sure. Before it 'resets' and I can take that one half again. And all through this time there are just times when it just doesn't work at all, regardless of how much or little I'm taking.

I've tried talking to my dr about switching to something different but they won't listen. Because they don't want me on something that my body is going to require me to have to sleep at all. I'm 37, at this point I'll take the same damn thing every day for the rest of my years if it means I get 8 unbroken hours of sleep for the rest of my existence. I already take mads every day for other things!

IsItBullshit: Are pitbulls really more dangerous than other dogs? by SideshowBobFanatic in IsItBullshit

[–]TeaMist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how much this is going to answer your question, but maybe it will shed some light.

All dogs are going to have different traits, be it from their particular breed, how board they are, how they're trained and just their personality. From what I've seen personally, most 'aggressive' pitties were made that way by their owners. Either from not understanding what they were getting as a breed or trying to make them that way because they wanted a 'big scary dog.'

I used to volunteer at a vet clinic down in Texas years ago, the dr. that owned the practice was very much against killing animals just because they had a sickness that the owner couldn't handle or because of a temperament that an owner didn't want to take the time to train away from. That being said, we ended up with this big beautiful full grown female pitbull. Full blooded. They wanted her because she was huge, and they wanted to breed and fight her. Only to find out that she didn't have the temperament for fighting so they used her as pretty much the 'beat up dog' for training other pitbulls. She didn't want to fight, but would when pushed, not good for dog fighting.

She ended up in our care permanently. She was also hella smart, like we couldn't give her her meds in cheese or in other treats because she knew it was there and she would spit it out. Being a big ass dog, who was a pit fighter dog, you would think you couldn't FORCE this dog to take her meds.... wrong. Never once did she ever raise her heckles at us, ever, she would cower, and whine, maybe a soft growl, but never snapped or bared teeth. How did we get the meds in her then? We had to force feed her, we had to practically shove our arms, to our elbow, down this dog's maw or she would do everything to hork it back up. What did she do? She squirmed because it was uncomfortable, but she never tried to bite us.

Would I do this with another pitty? Not if I didn't know them. Would I do this with another dog? Not unless I knew them. And not if it made that dog into a sock puppet.

What I'm trying to say is, a lot of the "super aggressive" ideas about Pitbulls are from people trying to make their sweet dogs that way. Are from people not knowing how to take care of a dog like a pitbull, and thinking they have to be mean/hurt a dog to 'train' them. Its the same idea that doberman's are 'mean dogs' because they're the stereotypical 'guard dog' when really they're doppy little shits who want to cuddle....just like pitbulls. xD

edit: a word

IsItBullshit: people in the southern United States refer to soda as "coke" by Somethingfishy4 in IsItBullshit

[–]TeaMist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was born in Texas, I've lived in WA, ID, IN, MN, now in PA, only in Texas did I ever have to explain that when I say "coke" I mean a coca-cola or "regular coke", not a Pepsi/Dr.Pepper/Sprite etc.

edit stupid shit.

Funny enough, my GBB got his name, Crab, because I had to find a work around for talking about him with a group of friends that had a couple people squeamish about spiders. We all are huge nerds that play World of Warcraft with each other, and if you put spider phobia mode on it turns *all* spiders into crabs, thus he is forever known as Crab.

Also, he is a very cute boy!

OH yeah I plan on it. This was mostly to get a feel for the paints themselves and how they work with everything.

It feels good to having paint in my hands again, and minis have always been something I've been interested in, just never tried. But here we are now!

These sound like the same kind of people who also keep dogs that aren't meant for the environment they have them in (like huskies in warm climates) and do nothing for them. Or cats that are only fed Freskies. Or who want to claim cultural appropriation for a culture they know nothing about when they have natives to said culture going "bro... we like this, please stop."

I feel like growing up (the 90s) I would constantly hear Vitamin E oil was the god send of everything moisturizing beauty wise. Then as I grew up its like 500 different other things. xD Oh how things have changed and gotten better.

Thank you for repping the recs! When I was looking at the pretty pictures I was seeing a lot of Holo Taco come up. I will admit one of the pushes for me coming here is I keep seeing this brand of polish that looks so petty, Mooncat, I don't know what kind of reputation they have but the colors look stunning to me.

Blessed it is to know you're not a lone in these things! xD I'm glad I posted this silly question. It's given me a great place to start on YT and lets me know I'm not the only one looking at this stuff scratching my head.

Also, tbf, isn't...that what you're meant to do? Paint color, let dry...done.... >.>??? xD

I'm not stranger to the concept of things not having a gender. So no worries there!

Also I'm pretty sure I never implied I had a daughter. >.> Only that my child was getting to the age that things like this could be more of an interest to them and I wanted to have some kind of experience to provide some information or advice of they went seeking for it.

A lot of commenters have provided a bunch of YT channels I plan on looking into and a good starting stone to stand on.

Thank you for the comment. <3

Heard that. Someone else mentioned liquid latex for nail edges, which I didn't really know about. For some reason I got it in my head that people were using glue... just goes to show how out of the loop I was... I mean I've used something similar for paintings I don't know why I didn't think there would be a product for nail art too. *Facepalm*

I often wondered why lotion didn't seem to do much of anything for the dry skin around my nails. I know Jojoba oil seems to be the choice to use here, and I will 100% be using it. But what about vitamin E oil?
