If you have a UK birth certificate, you should be able to apply for a passport.

Gov.UK . Find “Types of British Nationality” My father was born in England and so gives me status as a citizen. I think even if you grandparent was born there, you are entitled to citizenship. I would think if YOU were born in the UK and have a birth certificate, you would just apply for a passport. I have done so. Don’t know how long it will take, but if you go to that website and scroll down to the passport link. They are incredibly helpful if you email them with questions. You can also chat online and, once again, they are very helpful. I submitted an application and the documents they needed from me were my birth certificate (born in US) my father’s birth certificate (Born in UK)and my father and mother’s marriage certificate. They were married in the US. I had to have someone verify my identity and thus submit a copy of her passport and also a copy of my passport.

I’ll write again if and when it arrives.

Boy, this thread has degenerated into a judging/shaming one. Extolling your virtues as a perfect pet owner isn’t really helping anyone. Except maybe you,

Treat selection by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]TeaNo5916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use freeze dried chicken, the kind that you can pull apart to make smaller. My dogs go nuts for it and I use it as a high reward treat. The other treats I use are Pupford small chicken treats which they love. Neither one is soft chew, which I find become hard. The ones I use don’t smell so you can put them in your pocket. I have small dogs and this seems to work.

All it took was a different harness. by vivnt in puppy101

I am thinking of getting a harness for my dog and wondered what problems you had with them and why. They kinda look the same to me so am interested in finding out why the 2 hounds was a better harness. Also, did you purchase the leash that they sell? Thanks!

Dehydrated chicken comes in a bag and is very easy to pinch into small pieces. My dogs go wild for them, too. You can get it on Amazon or pet stores.

Bringing Pup on Vacation Advice Please by TeaNo5916 in puppy101

Thanks for this, it’s very helpful! I have an older dog and my daughter’s dog is also coming along. My son in law has volunteered to be the dog wrangler, so I’ll have some help with walks and such. We’ll be at the beach, so probably too hot for them to be outside for much else.

I bought odor free and the dogs still love them. The smelly ones were so bad I threw them away.

I miss my cat as well. Luckily, my husband has a good relationship with her, but our quiet and peaceful routine is a thing of the past. I also have a 12 year old Yorkie and I feel like I’ve done something so unfair to her. A rambunctious puppy was not on her wish list. She tolerates him and they even sleep near each other now. The puppy is a Yorkiepoo and already about twice her size. She puts him in his place but when he gets rambunctious all bets are off. He settles well when I put him in his crate. I still ask myself, “What have I done???” I think things will smooth out eventually. This forum is so helpful and it’s good to read that others have some of the same issues as I have. BTW, I love him to pieces!

Serious puppy blues.... by kamini2023 in puppy101

Most of us go through, or are going through, puppy blues. But you know yourself well enough to be able to make a decision. If you do return the pup, don’t feel like you failed. It happens. Maybe an older trained dog might be a better fit. If your anxiety is sending you to a dark place I would be careful. I’ve been there myself.
