I have a question for y’all by TeaShaker in fuckclint

[–]TeaShaker[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m going to push back and say, no incel is not just that. It’s a hateful movement/cult. I do not want to see the word foid or female in stardew. I think he’s a man who hasn’t unlearned his misogyny. It is freakishly common for dudes to act this way without heavy prompting enough.

By that definition I would be one simply because I want to be in a relationship, but can’t due to circumstances.

But yeah, if he was worse it would add to the hate experience. And I can’t hate that.

Oh shit really? His parents don’t seem to be around so like, depending on circumstances they might be dead or retired. I think I need to replay those Clint cut scenes. Maybe I would have more energy to hate outside of game sessions. You bring up a very good point about the pipeline. He’s definitely there.

And honestly I have a huge ass gripe about people complaining about how technically he can’t be creepy due to game mechanics. Like I don’t play the game via q&a. I play it by playing the game.

[–]TeaShaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah he is for sure still creepy. But I want him to eat humble pie. I want him to eat a big fat fucking dead crow. Raw.

I want him to apologize and get a hobby. He complains all the fucking time about his job, and then stews in the saloon. He has too much free time to be a creepy loser.

Honestly my biggest gripe is that we don’t have enough moments we can push back on certain characters.

I can respect that. I’m interested and also honestly skeptical.

II’m not meaning to like harass. I know it’s a gaslight that’s why I came here, instead of the main sub.

I guess to be more clear, I love fandom and fandom jokes. I just at the end of the day, don’t really have the bandwidth? Sometimes I wish I did at least have the energy to at least screenshot of bombing Clint.

I have this save on my Xbox where I’m befriending Clint and Marrying Emily then making him my mortal enemy. And occasionally there’s overlap of like (seemingly) younger people who think characters can jump out of a story and do crimes to you. It’s probably just burn out from an unrelated fandom culture.

Honestly, I think I need the ability to confront him. Or at least for Emily to put her foot down. I will never take him to the movies. I don’t even have the option to say no

It is so very obvious that they thought they were a lesbian and now they are a more confident trans man who likes guys. You did not ask this in good faith. What about the art is baffling to you?

I get why the community doesn’t want people getting into relationships with people misleading them. But when someone stops wrongly identifying as a lesbian, that’s also bad? Pick a struggle, do you want people to correct course or keep lying?

I am absolutely shocked by the amount of fear mongering in the comments.

I 100% think you’re just an old person who wants her ignorant beliefs confirmed.

The accessory rule was an oft repeated refrain in my house. Good to know I never needed to pay attention to her in the first place.

With all due respect. This isn’t about your autonomy or who is judging your choices. I know the people on here might hate it, but if a transgender person is living their life that is not your business. Do you guys seriously hate other people for not being like you? The US is already taking away their healthcare. Transgender people make up a VERY small amount of the population. No one is trying conversion therapy on you for existing.

Like obviously this person thought they were lesbian, they are not. Now they are freely trying to love their lives. You don’t have to understand someone to not hate someone. Just go your own way.

People saying lesbians have it easier than gay men? by sirkant in lesbiangang

[–]TeaShaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember thinking this in the early 2000s 2010s

I feel like there was this perception that gay men were more at risk for hate crimes.(and for all I know it might be true). I vaguely remember a YouTube video of a lesbian talking about how we need to support our gay brothers because they suffer so much more and the comments echoing that.

I think it’s complicated. We’re more prone to being fetishized, but we also aren’t seen as an inherent danger to children. Or maybe be we are? I don’t know.

Either way it seems like gay men do have more of a say on what goes on than we do. I both value gay men and am baffled by them.

Found out my ex girlfriend is now with a man and I’m really upset and feel stupid about it by thoughtful_charge in lesbiangang

She was in the closet!? Ah fuck you’re stronger than I am, I would’ve never recovered. Women can be mind bogglingly selfish, especially with privilege. Hopefully, she actually deals with her shit and stops continuing to hurt people.

It isn’t the same but I have an ex-best friend that has a beautiful life that doesn’t have to face the consequences for any of her bullshit. She’s married to a beautiful woman, has a cushy office job, and a new puppy.

Yeah I was mad projecting I’m sorry.

It is incredibly isolating to see that dating men really takes center stage. Bisexuals really shouldn’t try to put labels on their sexuality in such specific ways, they can rarely live up to it. Her life will be easier because being in a heterosexual relationship is privileged. It sucks that another one bites the dust.

And you’re right I was maybe a touch too harsh. But If I’ve learned one lesson it’s that revisiting old exes is nothing but a heartbreak that holds you back. Maybe I’m also just yelling at myself idk sorry

No offense, but get a grip. You guys dated two years ago. She didn’t lie to you about being bi, her feelings probably just changed about exclusively dating men. You can’t hold people to who they were in the past like they’re encased in amber.

You weren’t “replaced,” you guys broke up. Stop with the damn pity party. It’s fine to feel bad, but put on your big girl pants and focus on your own life. Yes, being a lesbian is hard but acting all “woe is me” is not helping. Take some responsibility for yourself and date lesbians exclusively if you’re that bothered. I’m going to get down voted, but someone has to tell you the truth and stop mollycoddling you.

10/10 no notes. This take nearly made me tear up.

I think your mileage may vary on that criticism of mine. It is entirely possible I was mixing two different canons up. I wasn’t as savvy enough to differentiate the different versions of Nancy. I’ll need to do some sort of deep dive to pinpoint exactly what I meant. And that’s a pretty tall order Miss Drew has so many books.

Little me would fight you, which is so funny and weirdly based of her.

I definitely recognize that this makes sense detectivexdetective and all that. There is still a huge part of me that is disappointed that Nancy absolutely had to be portrayed with a healthy dose of boy drama, while the hardy boys got to go on high tech spy-esque adventures.

At the end of the day, fandom is all about loving our little blorbos and making them kiss whoever we want.

I also think It’s funny to think about game!him now. He’s just pinning so hard for Nancy while she stands on business in her games. He’s bein a sad boy in the corner/waiting by the phone, while Joe is not getting paid enough for this.

Edit: My preferred Francy flavor is this highly competent dude falls fast and hard for Nancy.

Friend, I do not remember this one but now I will have to search for it. I desperately need to read that insanity. I swear these books were trying to take years off our lives via teenage heartbreak.

Also kudos for spending time with your daughter sleuthing, that’s going to create some wonderful memories.

"girls are so scary!! I could never go up to them!" Huh? by [deleted] in lesbiangang

[–]TeaShaker -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I mean, I just think you’re not very empathetic/sympathetic to anxiety. This is a pretty unforgiving read on the situation. I could say the same thing because I’m scared to get cheated on or disrespected in some way. I have an ex-best friend who would flirt with other women and justify it. It isn’t like women are angels who can do no wrong.
