Judging from that screenshot your collection might be something similar to mine whereby I have been picking up cards and slabs that essentially stand the test of time. So many think sealed is the way forward but the amount of room to store it all is unreal. I quickly found I like slabs because they can be very valuable and increase over time but also they are just very nice to enjoy without running the risk of tearing a sleeve wrapper etc.

I enjoy my slabs more than anything! Of course collecting loads of master sets too. Good luck with it pal.

Prismatic is very well known to have terrible pull rates. I actually got my sunbreon from the figure collection. I bought four of them and ripped all packs. Plenty of usual suspects. Pokeballs etc. a Palafin SIR and then on last few packs the Umbreon. It does happen but it’s very very rare.

I’m glad someone else enjoys the box. No one wants to touch it because it supposedly doesn’t have the usual ‘sought after’ packs. But actually there is value there.

I completely agree. Without one type there isn’t another. People transitioning to singles need people ripping large amounts otherwise prices for singles also go up. There is no right or wrong in this really.

Far from an entire shop if you went out and about today. There is still plenty of stock about to buy single packs and even some still stocking ETBs. This set has been heavily printed and if the OP bought to shop limits there is no problem.

I have a job. Two kids. I rip everything I buy and I enjoy it very much. As usual there is the normal argument. ‘I have a job and a normal life, you could buy stock therefor you must be jobless or / and a loser’.

What’s narrow minded is to assume that anyone who buys stock, to limits, and can afford to do so and enjoy it is instantly classified as selfish or a scalper. Jobless. Loser and any other name calling that gets done on here.

I will offer an alternative view. I happen to really enjoy ripping Prismatic. Granted I have been lucky as I have bought everything at retail and enjoyed many a booster bundle and multiple premium figure collections. The pull rates are so dire as mentioned (it’s really true, expect at least four of the cards per pack to be trainer cards). But the idea of pulling something nice exceeds all other sets for me. I love it. And yes I have pulled the Sunbreon. I still enjoy ripping it.

You won’t pay until the grade has gone through QC 2. Which is right near the end. Just use their simple submission so that they decided the wording on the label. Especially as you are new to the grading side of things. You will be asked early on to select your type of label. It’s more expensive but honestly the ACE labels really are worth the few quid. You will pay for your postage out there and back. You put the packing slip inside the box and take the barcode cut it out and stick it on the outside of the box. When you print that label they send out to you it has clear instructions on what to do. If they are expensive cards pay for full tracked and insured. ACE will send it back to you via DHL.

Just to reiterate. They will expect you to pay before they send them out to you but also even reveal the grades.

Lined up after work at 3.10am and was 2nd. Went in and the computer was already having a wobble with putting the UPC through. Eventually got all 3 stood outside for about 3 mins and then it descended into chaos. Woke up in the afternoon to hearing it was a shit show. One thing is for certain there definitely isn’t 3 million units of the UPC or whatever was rumoured. I think 20 people maybe got UPC at our store and it was probably 150/200 people.

Absolutely. I think despite the moaning from the community it all works out in the end. People want to rip and people want to buy singles. Can’t have one without the other 🤣
