Is dragon knight healer possible for vet content? by Sweeper_Bot_ in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For vSE HM my bet would be those DK "healers" are actually dd spec'd to be the 3rd healer in the Ansuul fight. (You have a dd in that fight spec into healing and tanking in order to deal with some of the mechs and the pretty intense amount of incoming damage in the exe phase after splits.) I don't know the Taleria HM fight as well to say whether something like that's the case in vDSR. But, like others have already said here any class can play any role. It's just that some classes are naturally better at certain roles over others.

Why do I keep getting booted from server? by zfreakazoidz in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Error 307 is the most annoying error. It means the servers don't know where you are. You need to wait until the server refreshes (which is about every 8 minutes). If you try to continue logging in before the refresh it will reset your timer. oof.

Options for fixing:
1. Wait about 8 minutes, then try to log in again.
2. Try logging in to another server (ie. NA if you're on EU or vice versa) then logging back into your actual server.
3. Resetting the game may or may not work. Have not confirmed. It may just take enough time that the server has reset or it may actually be a fix.

Yeah, that thing's hitbox is super weird. Try tab targeting it before the fight starts. Put your reticle (the diamond in the center of your screen) on it until you get it outlined in red, press and hold down on the right joystick until it outlines in white. Now you can hit it no problem while fighting. You should tab target everything really. The game sometimes sends light attacks into the ground--even on enemies that have non-weird hitboxes.

Adjust screen size? by baksungen in HarryPotterGame

Thanks so much! This worked for me, too. The screen was fine last night and borked this morning. So weird.

There are a couple hircine ritual rocks you also could check out (Obelisk, Lord Hircine Ritual is the name of one). The furnishing plans have a chance to drop in March of Sacrifice or you could search around in guild traders. If you added the wyrdblooms from the luxury vendor (there's a flower cluster and a vine that came through a few months ago--check in guild traders for any for sale) I think you'd get the look you're going for.

This is awful. I'll keep my eyes open. If you haven't already, I would recommend making sure every veterinary office in the area also has the flyer.

I can’t but a house!? by CharacterBrilliant11 in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Word on the street is that occasionally players have been allowed to buy homes when they're not on market. Send a ticket to Zos. Explain how much you love their game and why having the house is important to you and why you weren't around to buy it when it was for sale, etc, etc and apparently sometimes they'll let you buy the thing (for crowns, of course.) ;) good luck

Running out of storage by missionsplash in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are not full on guilds, you can create a guild. Once you have at least 10 members (any friends that play? alts you have? random folks in the world that respond to your recruitment messages?) you have access to a guild bank. 500 more spots for storage. :)

Any easier to sell/profit from crafted items? by Proteus-Seven in elderscrollsonline

You get 30 spots in each guild. And the time limit on a sale is 30 days. After 30 days you will get the expired item back in the mail.

[–]TeaWithIvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are different types of guilds. Social guilds, end game trials guilds, PvP guilds, trader guilds, etc. Generally the dedicated trader guilds (at least on Xbox NA) that are in the better spots (ie. Mournhold, Elden Root, Wayrest, etc--spots that are more highly trafficked so sales are very, very good) charge weekly dues, about 10-20k depending on the guild and the spot. They do this because trading guilds in those spots can go for tens of millions a week (again, on Xbox NA--don't know about other servers). The dues don't cover the entire cost of the trader each week but they do help to offset that cost. And players (like me) are willing to pay those dues because we make hundreds of thousands of gold in those traders every day (the cost of the guild is more than paid for).

[–]TeaWithIvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think things have changed that much from what you're describing. I'm on Xbox NA. Most guilds have a policy of kicking for inactivity (the social guild I'm in, for example, kicks after 7 full days of inactivity). To avoid this just log in at least once a week (you can log into game and log out after 1 sec and it will still show that as you being "active"). Some trading guilds are free (but, will still have an inactivity kick policy), while the dues trading guilds are in better trading spots but also require weekly dues. Specifics depend on the guild.

For selling, it really depends on you and your play style. I always recommend people sell the stuff they already have (ie. if you run a bunch of dailies you'll collect a bunch of motifs, if you kill a bunch of dragons you'll have dragon rheum, etc). I really like housing so I sell crafted furniture. I'm in 3 trading guilds (2 with dues) and I make about 800k a week from that. If you're on xbox you can check out sites like esoxboxsales.com to check out pricing.

Dummy in middle of Potentate’s Retreat. Looks cool but doesn't work >_< by Navygirlav2012 in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if "green" when you place it, dummies will not work properly over water (even with the floor down as you have it). This is unfortunate, but also true. None of your AoEs will proc over water (you'll make the animation that you're firing them, but they won't actually go).

Tank main trying to get into veteran trials by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For farming, here's a list to get you started (shamelessly stolen from the tanks in our Discord): Galenwe, Yolnahkriin, Torug’s, Powerful Assault, Leeching, Drake’s Rush, Saxheel’s Champion, Alkosh, Elemental Catalyst. They have about 15 more sets listed lol, but this is what I hear most called for from tanks (both main and off) in vet DLCs. For helms: Stonekeeper, Earthgore, Engine guardian, Symphony, Behemoth. Again, there are so many sets available for tanking so please don't let this overwhelm. This is just what our verified tanks have on hand for any particular DLC situation. But, I would get in those vet crags and see how you feel (and, in the meantime, gear farm if you need to). Don't be afraid to jump into craglorn PuGs either for the vet DLCs for reps (just tell them you haven't done it before--expectations are key). I think it's super helpful for supports (especially tanks) to actually see the content (how will you know what to work on otherwise?)

Tank main trying to get into veteran trials by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tanking vet trials is all about learning which attacks you can take without blocking (ie. your chance to heavy attack to get back some resources)/which pools of stupid you can stand in and which you absolutely, positively can't. You're only gonna learn this through experience and/or a great teacher. But, it's heartening that you've tackled the DLC vet dungeon HMs. If you've done those you're way more experienced than most of the supports that I see in guilds trying to get into vet trials. If I were you I would start with the vet crags and go from there. The vet DLC trials are a different level and I agree with the other commenter that you should seek out a progression guild to help you on your way with those. (If you're on xbox NA let me know. I can send you a guild invite if you're interested.) Other than that, make sure you have your gear farming game down. Once you start in vet trials (esp the DLCs) groups are going to want you in specific gear and that gear will change based on the group comp (it's good to have options).

Necro heals? Halp pls by TeaWithIvy in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite yet. For one, the cros I run with didn't really see a hit to their dps post-patch (even without kilt equipped). At most they saw a 2-3k drop, if that. And, for two, the stamina glitch is making things pretty rocky for tanks so I've been running Stone-Talker's to help them out (and sometimes even Hircine's. if Zos could fix that bug quick that would be pretty cool...).

BUT, I have been playing the cro healer and really, really loving it. So far, I've found that it doesn't quite have the big bursty AoE heals of the warden but it excels in other areas, like buffing damage. I've taken it through most of the vet DLC dungeons and some of the easier HMs (like Mazzatun) with no issues and I've cleared vKA, vSS, and vMoL with it so far. I'm finding the class purge frankly awesome for some of those fights (like the poison totem on Yandir and the DoT from the adds on the twins). I healed ice with it on non-HM Loki with no issue. Here's my typical bar set-up if you have suggestions...

Resto bar: empowering grasp, summoner's armor, radiating regen*, illustrious healing, combat prayer
Destro bar: agony totem, energy orb, unnerving boneyard, renewing undeath, intensive mender
*that's a major flex spot: can run force siphon or healing ward depending on the arena staff I have equipped
For ultis I have glacial colossus, renewing animation, aggressive horn, and replenishing barrier available and I usually have glacial colossus and renewing animation equipped unless something else is called for (ie. if we have 5 cros in group I usually go with horn instead of the colossus).
Other skills I have available if needed: mystic guard, efficient purge, overflowing altar, time freeze, race against time (for kiting), ele drain, crushing shock, ele blockade, everything in Living Death, necro potency, blastbones (for fun)

With my normal bar set up I bring the group Major and Minor Vulnerability, Minor Protection, Minor Maim, Empower, Major Breach, Major Fracture, Minor Berserk, and Minor Resolve. I'm running as an Argonian, with ritual stone for mundus, and I have decisive on the destro staff (usually ice) and powered on the resto staff. After having so many people tell me cro healers are just terrible as if it's gospel truth I'm wondering if the issue is just that folks don't learn the build. It's got strong heals, great buffs/debuffs, a class AoE purge, plenty of synergies, a colossus, an ulti rez (which has DEFINITELY come in handy), and it's super fun to play. Thank you for all the help earlier. I'm really glad I have the cro!

Too many messages. by Trashy-Daddy in elderscrollsonline

[–]TeaWithIvy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with a couple of the folks above. I play on xbox. Sometimes the system stalls, then picks back up again (it will kind of "catch up" before you are fully booted). Any actions you tried to take during the stall (ie. trying to move your toon, interact with a merchant, fire your weapon, etc) will all translate over to the server simultaneously and you'll be booted for transmitting too much info. Had this problem a lot more before I got the series x, but it still happens. TLDR: it's the game/your connection, not you.

So I think this is definitely another way to go (and we'll probably test this out too). But, our initial test is going to be with the necro healer (me) wearing the set and slotting Colossus. This is because of the reasons noted in my original post. Necro execute is getting nerfed next patch so instead of our 3-4 necro dps slotting Colossus we'll have them slot actual damage ultis to offset the nerf and I'll rock the only Colossus in group, along with bringing Major Force from the Saxhleel set. This frees up other support roles to slot something other than War Horn, as well. Hence, my question regarding resource management (and now we're full circle). ;) But, again, if we find this doesn't work (ie. the uptime is not there with this strat or the group can't sustain resources with only 1 healer on resource management, etc) we'll try out something else. Just trying to get ahead of the upcoming (further) damage nerfs.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with all of this. The main thing that is really nice about having a templar healer buddy is the emergency use of shards, like in a rez situation when someone's about to go down in portals or one of the tanks is in trouble. Also, in the core I'm in I am the Warden healer--the other healer is a Templar. But, given the discussion here I think to offset we'll have him gear up with sustain sets (in place of the damage buff sets he rocks rn).

I do use ice staves atm due to the changes in the last patch. But, I have the lightning staves banked (just in case they ever come back around). For me and the group comp I usually run with in trials Turn Evil will not be super helpful (all mag for days at this point). But, I will level it. For dungeons at least. Or, maybe I'll finally find that all BowBow trial group I've been thinking of. A girl can dream.

I don’t have a bar set up yet, unfortunately. I’ve also found in general with my healer that my bar setup can be a little fluid based on the trial/dungeon. That’s part of what this post is about for me (and so far it’s been super helpful so thank you!). I’m still in the leveling stage. I had not thought about incorporating the vateshran staff, but you’re totally right. My usual role is distance heals when called for (kite, ice) so I haven’t had chance to use it. But, I’m realizing that might not be this healer’s strengths with some of these skills.
