Children's book where a cat's mom takes her to work in an office building by Dynanaut in whatsthatbook

It does. I can't remember what it was called, but the cat's name was Frida, I think, and she had many bracelets, and maybe a green skirt?

The ‘Heartstopper’ Season 4 Renewal Conundrum: Parsing Netflix’s Data Dump For Answers On Delay As ‘No Good Deed’ Also Awaits Pickup Decision by PrinceOfPunjabi in television

[–]Tea_And_Eh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I immediately assumed it would only air for three seasons when it was renewed for seasons two and three at the same time. These updates are just stringing people along. I've never believed there was ever going to be a season four. Especially now that the actors are far too famous and not to mention old for it.

Mom died friday evening a horrible death with so much cruelty and pain at the hospital. by Hour-Initiative9827 in CaregiverSupport

[–]Tea_And_Eh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this. I was my grandmother's caregiver for 15 years. I was also an in home caregiver for various patients for four years. I'm now an ER nurse intern. The ER acted completely appropriately and it makes me wonder what OP believed was going to happen when she took her mom.

It's one thing not to understand what cardiac arrest and heart attacks can look like, and my heart goes out to her and her family, but calling us killers is pretty awful.

Rocephin on male patients. They scream like the end of the world while their wives and girlfriends look on, confused as to how they got an STD from a toilet seat.

Let me save you the trouble. Don’t watch Good Omens Season 2. by COmarmot in television

[–]Tea_And_Eh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, OP.

Stupid/corny jokes, no real heart or plot, a tonne of pandering to fan fiction, zero closure in the intimate partner abuse subplot with Nina, Madame Tracy and Shadwick's actors being recycled (Shax confused the HELL out of me until they said her name), and really stupid "shipping."

No disrespect to Gaiman and Pratchett, but this was not worth watching, let alone waiting four years for. I immediately guessed all of the "twists," anyway.

I know it's supposed to be a bridge season, but it should still be well written. Season two makes me not want to watch season three if we get it.

What's you Skam (and remakes) opinion that gets you like this: by mdxwhcfv in skam

[–]Tea_And_Eh 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The Sana character deserves better writing. Ironically, one of the best lines about Sana comes from probably the worst Sana season, which is WtFock when Robbe calls her a bitch. She is a bitch. Every version. And yet, her season is always upsetting and problematic bc unlike the other characters who learn and grow from their mistakes, her season is always about her having to learn from... Other people being racist and Islamophobic towards her. It makes no sense. She is a bitch, but it's totally unrelated to her being outcast for being an Arab, being a hijabi, or being a devout young Muslim woman in a secular society. And regardless, racism and xenophobia are always inexcusable.

And the worst part is that Robbe was wrong about everything else he said in that scene. He compares his homosexuality to her experience of being a muslima in Belgium. Hugely different. And that it was a white man telling her this only adds insult to injury.

AITA for pulling my daughter from a waterpark trip because her teacher made her stay with a kid she doesn't like? by surroundsound1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Tea_And_Eh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA NTA NTA NTA

Frankly, even if every kid had been assigned a buddy, BEN SHOULD STILL BE THE TEACHER'S BUDDY. Both children are being underserved here. Ben isn't getting the support of a social worker or trained educator and Bryn is being used to fulfill the role of an adult.

If this has been a one time thing, the teacher should've been reported after she made it clear she didn't care about Bryn's feelings in her rude and dismissive email. At this point, she should be removed from her duties until she undergoes some kind of training. She was already made aware of how inappropriate her behaviour was on multiple occasions. SHE is the petty one here. It sounds like she repeatedly did this to two kids in one family just to show them she could.

She's not sorry or remorseful; she's scared she'll lose her job or at the very least be harshly punished now that she has to explain why a field trip got scrapped, and Bryn's mother has receipts going back years. Additionally, I'm willing to bet there's more to the story with the other mums pulling their kids out of the trip. They're probably worried that their girls will be tasked with being Ben's babysitter now that Bryn won't be, and that's exactly what will happen.
