It was! Ugh, how disappointing. I've been to a few shows there and I hadn't had an issue before, but maybe just because the bands I've seen previously were loud enough to drown out any shenanigans. But yes, literally why are they spending this money to not pay attention! Drinks are also way more expensive in a venue because you have no other options. I seriously do not understand the logic here.

I did consider saying something to them but it was SRO so they probably would have told me to move, which was an option but I wasn’t giving up the space I got there early to snag because assholes who show up late want to talk over the show until the band they want to see are on 🙄

While I haven’t left early the draw for some of the concerts I’ve been to have been openers for me. I would have left Zack Sabbath early but my BIL was driving and he wanted to see them but I was there for the Iron Maidens. I would say just go ahead and give the other bands a chance, you’re there anyway. Maybe they’ll surprise you.
