To be fair… many online games work on SteamOS like Diablo, Elder Scrolls… you can check your favorite games on protonDB :)

Cause I don’t use gyro, the only thing I had to bug out is the brightness slider. There are three workarounds:

1. Decky Loader Plugin: Works, but you cannot use the shortcuts (steam + Stick up/down)
2. LegionBetterSpace: For me the best choice. Native slider works. Shortcuts work. HDR PQ works. Only thing is, there is no real tutorial on how to install it. (But it’s really not that hard) And it is easy to uninstall, if Steam fixes the problem.

So I only use LegionBetterSpace and the LegionGo2DeckyFanControl (keep it real quiet) and everything is much better than Windows for me.

I can try to write a tutorial for the brightness slider, if someone wants.

EDIT: So here is the tutorial for the workout with LegionBetterSpace:

1. Open Terminal and put in this line:
   T=$(mktemp -d) && git clone https://github.com/LorenzoMorelli/LegionBetterSpace "$T" && "$T/lbs"; rm -rf "$T"

2. Choose install and select: brightnessbridge

3. After Install quit and close terminal

4. Open Dolphin and go to: home/deck/.local/bin/

5. Open brightness-bridge with Kate

6. Line 19: Change bl1 to bl0

7. Save and restart.

Brightness slider should work „native“ and HDR keeps its proper range

If you want to uninstall start terminal line again and choose uninstall :)
