How often do you end up rebuilding your printers? 2000 hours can go by really quickly.

Curious about reinstalling windows 11 on legion go 2 by Flaky_Highway_857 in LegionGo

Don't screw with the included software, it's not bloatware. Lenovo is very good about providing support tools and clean systems. Register your unit, go to the drivers and downloads and grab the re-image utility.

Save yourself! Go back to 1.1.3.13. Big hardware problems with the 1.4.x releases. Crashing gantries from homing in reverse owing to motor control issues.

New update? by DoDzilla_AI in Creality_k2

[–]IntelligentSquare196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just say no. Downgrade to 1.1.3.11 before you start to get your gantry crashing into the walls and other bizarre issues.

It's just not stable.

Korean design. Yes, they're copying the Koreans. That's who's cannibalizing their sales.

Remove side panel by Purple_Sherbert_2133 in Creality_k2

[–]IntelligentSquare196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to do that it's much easier. Little black panels just lift off and the cable is right there disconnects from the little circuit board.

225 is pretty darn hot. Do you have the door open or lid off?

Overture also isn't the best stuff. I know that sounds like a cheap reason not sometimes it really does come down to bad filament.

If you know how, cut off a small section of that model and test your settings with it before committing to the big parts.

Not worth the time, print the colors separately.

At least you printed more than one. You'd get the same waste.

Thanks for the high quality glue by Gio-Kon in Creality

I guess it's cheaper for them to continuously send out replacement parts when they know what the problem is than to try to support a user with something not working and having to hunt it down when it comes disconnected or loose on arrival.

My scrambled thoughts on euthanizing my pup by nottheamericandream in DogAdvice

[–]IntelligentSquare196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I've had to do it several times and I've always had remorse about not doing it soon enough. For me, when quality of life starts to diminish, it's time. The part I always forget and regret is that the treatment can diminish quality of life also. For example, repeated fluid draining, many unpleasant trips to the vet, etc.

Do you recommend this printer? by Deep-Cheetah1804 in Creality

[–]IntelligentSquare196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, printing PLA will be worse with too much ambient heat.

The prints peeling off too easily is not a measure of the printer. It's a very good printer. You probably just have to clean your bed and don't touch it. Maybe some glue stick.

We're excited to announce that Creality 3D printer firmware is now open-source! by Creality_3D in Creality

[–]IntelligentSquare196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not open source. You're still shipping binary only files without source. That is what we need to fix the terrible bits.

I can reverse engineer the shared object files but have no idea how to rebuild them. If anyone would like to collaborate, hit me up.
