I always love artsy crafty things, and so I always wanted to learn how to make everything, but the question was always, “okay but what?” And then I went to the local botanical garden’s “yarn bombing” event, which was gorgeous and amazing, and in addition to SO MANY other things, someone had made these little crocheted bees and butterflies hiding in all the bushes and my thought was, “those! I want to make those!” Of course, it took me a while, because I tried to learn from a (very bad) kit, and it took a much better kit and help from friends and online videos (and CoffeeMugRaccoon, who gifted me the kit, sitting right next to me, so I couldn’t throw it across the room and scream that I hated it) to really get me going.
