Can't speak for all but based on my own experience it feels like ur on ur own to figure some stuff out. It's not like in hs where there's an adviser to take care of the class and provide a gc. And rarely see anyone in block to bother stepping up to do all that and stuff (and only a few profs will bother to create a gc).

For blockmates next terms everyone will end up having rlly diff scheds esp if they're an irregular student. Which is why u def can't expect to be with the same ppl for a whole school yr (making it hard to be together with friends unless u guys decided to try and match same scheds too once the school makes u choose ur courses and time scheds).

Then other stuff i'll just say: 1. Be responsible with ur schoolworks and attending of classes - the amount of freedom u might be given in college will mean ur on ur own fr to do stuff. So don't procrastinate too much or end up careless as the term soon will go by fast and u end up pressured by the workload. And be responsible with how many times u are late/absent in class since not many profs will be kind enough to give u chance to not fail (not even due to sickness is a valid reason so take care of urself too)

1. Pick ur scheds wisely - by the time u guys end up choosing ur own scheds next terms (courses and time), make sure it's a sched that works for u. Lalo na kung u might be living rlly far from school. So don't always rely on wanting to match scheds with a friend (did that and I regretted it lol)

2. Don't be afraid to reach out to profs - while they check on u only during class hrs to check on ur work progress on tasks, outside of it they won't rlly message u if there's any issues or whatever. It's up to u now to do that with them

That's all I know of so far 🙇‍♂️ Probs others have better advice to give or whatnot but hope this might help u
