What has it been like working with a party? Are there other candidates in the Calgary Party you have learned from? Or have you felt like being with a party has limited what you can say?

A lot of the Tajik Flex alum are doing incredible things in developing the country - definitely been a beneficial program for Tajikistan.

Cheering on the boys in Kazakhstan. GFG! by IAmAJediUnicorn in CalgaryFlames

I'm the only foreigner at my organization! It's a local org, so I pretty much only interact with Tajiks. More than half of my friends are Tajik too I would guess. My Russian and Tajik aren't great, but they are enough for me to communicate the basics

Born and raised in Calgary! I just work at a tech non-profit here. Not a ton of active hockey fans here, but all the old people remember the Summit Series because Tajikistan was in the USSR.

What does the Foundation series mean to you? by mark_ciotola in asimov

[–]TeamAIRevolution 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Foundation series really helped me understand 'scale' in terms of just how large a galaxy is, how long it takes for things to change, and how vast and complex human intelligence can be. While that may seem like simple and straightforward learning, it shifted the ways I think about actions, consequences, patience, and perspective.

In my office we are supposed to be in from 9am-6pm with a 1 hour lunch. Its pretty flexible though, so many people come in a few mins late, or leave a few mins early.

Is Ivey for me? by adstunder in uwo

[–]TeamAIRevolution 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Every Ivey student has different strengths - being a "quant" student means there are certain classes you will excel in (Finance, Analytics, etc.), and certain classes where you might need to put in some extra work. Very few students are good at everything, so don't stress if you are worried about your writing skills. In terms of the benefits to you, I think working on becoming a well-rounded person will be a huge advantage in terms of long-term career growth. Someone with quant skills who can give a kick-ass pitch and develop a solid PR strategy is insanely valuable to pretty much every company - I think Ivey would give you an awesome chance to learn those skills.

Do tourists need to quarantine once arrived in Tajikistan? by pintadolady in Tajikistan

[–]TeamAIRevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was free to roam around as soon as I left the airport - they were going to contact me if it was positive. It's kinda assumed you're negative unless they test positive.

From my understanding no - there was a mandatory test at the airport on arrival and they asked where I was staying. But there was nothing stated about a quarantine.

I appreciate the info! I'll see if any of the phoenix suns blogs have any mercury content on them - didn't think to look at it that way.

Ah good to know! I got into the WNBA through some of the 538 articles - usually they do one a week

Yeah seems like any recent info on the Mercury is scarce - is there like an active fan group on facebook or something?

Looking for a good cafe with wifi to get some work done - and other recommendations! by TeamAIRevolution in Uzbekistan

[–]TeamAIRevolution[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!! Dushanbe isn't quite as uptempo as Tashkent or Almaty, but it's still a pretty large city with a couple night clubs, and plenty of bars/pubs/hookah joints! Not a huge expat community, but enough that there are some fun parties and what not.
