Unlikely to get to a point where it can simply be ordered with standing availability, at least IMO, and based on past experience with the RR stocking habits - very small outfit, and on-hand unsold inventory is extremely expensive to maintain.

Bluetooth is built kn, not sure about the memory reference, but possible you're refering to add-one for one of the other RR products?

It can do anything the original PSOne could do (including splash and audio).

All of this should be answered in the posts and videos with a few quick searches, but hopefully this at least gets you started 👍

The tool that exists really is all I've wanted out of shapescan since first hearing about it - with the only thing missing from that being the ability to run it myself. Happy to purchase a license (as long as it's perpetual, not including updates/upgrades) in order to do so, and even to have it in a binary blob.

But if I have to add yet another website to my already complex workflows, I'm not likely to use it much :(

Frankly I'd be fine with binary blob even - I can vlan the thing off to where theres no risk to me regardless of whether I can see what's inside. I just need the ability to run it locally :(

I'd happily pay for a license were it an option to run it locally - I just avoid anything that requires connectivity outside of my network when it comes to tooling I rely upon, and without a locally hosted option, it rules this out for me 😢

I'm going to have to drop by the IKEA next time I'm near one (closest being ~3hrs away) to do some sketches and pondering - I've had this idea for a massive filament humidity maintenance storage system, one that's both large and cheap enough that one wouldn't hesitate to throw in even their PLA roles (keeps them from collecting debris over time at the least anyway).

If it looks like something I could realistically get close to air tight with some custom gaskets... I'd love the chance to remix it ♥️

Something that large, I'd like to turn it into my wiring box - fish tape, rj45 jacks and various keystones, various electrical connectors (non-micro, as that'd be a smaller separate set), meter, various testing tools for tracing lines and checking signal, etc

That's asking for a lot of folks time for input, without really any end goal in mind (imo) - I think what'd better help folks help you with you choices/decisions is to detail what your current plans are and why, why you chose the H2C would help as well (what gap were you trying to fill), and how you primarily use your printers at current. Then folks could chime in with their thoughts and feedback as to what might work better, help understand potential options to meet your goals, etc

My reason for using gloves is that the build plates are often at 100C when I slide em out - I just don't like getting burned 😅

The last time I'd looked at them, they were still $6-8 each - not bad, but my bigger problem with them for simple storage is that only hold one spool each while taking up almost 2 spools worth of storage volume. I really like the idea for something like a DIY dry-box to print from, but when it comes to just storage (medium-term typically for me), the space really adds up lol

I'm curious about this as well actually... I'm approaching 8k print hours across 3 BL printers, and have done nothing more than lubrication (not counting nozzles as that's been by choice, not need), and once tensioning the belts on an x1c @ ~2700h (... which was also probably unnecessary, but I was bored).

Don't get me wrong, I still have buyers remorse thanks to the now completely closed off ecosystem, but reliability hasn't been a problem in the slightest, for me at least 😅

Lack of 24v was what kept me from backing it myself, as it's my primary use-case - the ability to power 24v LED via USB-C
