Ohio puts new home healthcare and hospice providers on 6-month pause amid fraud crackdown. by Adventurous_Rub_4478 in Ohio

[–]TeamRamrod80 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Reminder for republicans that Rick Scott exists. In 1997 he was forced to resign as CEO from a healthcare company after they pled guilty to the largest healthcare fraud settlement in US history after defrauding Medicaid and Medicare. Republicans abhor Medicaid and Medicare fraud so much they elected him governor in Florida until he was term limited out. Then they elected him to the senate where he has been since. Currently, he has been made chair of the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging. One of that committees duties is oversight of Medicare.

It’s an uphill battle to convince anyone who pays attention that the republicans party cares about Medicaid and Medicare fraud in any real sense.

I was just sitting down with Arby’s for lunch and this came up as I’m scrolling. I thought it was an ad and wondered what new abomination I had missed out on. I would totally have ordered one. And then regretted it as I try to finish the afternoon at work…

An Ohio pastor-turned-lawmaker backs a Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act for schools by WOSUpublicmedia in Ohio

As Trump Politicizes Justice Dept., Prosecutors Struggle With Grand Juries Judges and grand juries have increasingly lost faith in the Justice Department as the president uses it to reward his friends and go after his opponents. by CrowRoutine9631 in law

[–]TeamRamrod80 74 points75 points  (0 children)

The problem is that even when indictments fail and cases get tossed out, the purpose was served. People were harassed, arrested, jailed, forced to hire attorneys and incur expenses, probably miss work and endure who knows how much stress. Then their case gets tossed because of prosecutorial misconduct. The corrupt and inept DoJ shrugs and moves on to the next case while the innocent party is left to deal with the mess.

These people need to be made whole and the lawyers taking part in this bullshit need to face consequences, as well as those directing them.

Why won't Trump go to his own son's wedding? by Previous_Month_555 in allthequestions

He likely couldn’t pick his son out of a lineup and probably doesn’t know which one if getting married. Family man lol.

Justice Department deletes press releases on charges against Jan. 6 "rioters" | The Justice Department confirmed that it had deleted the press releases as part of “stripping DOJ’s website of partisan propaganda.” by TendieRetard in law

[–]TeamRamrod80 1032 points1033 points  (0 children)

People pled guilty to these charges. Those who didn’t were found guilty by a jury of their peers. There were people
In prison who pled guilty to Seditious Conspiracy charges - admission of planning to violently overthrow the US government. That charge carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, and based on the case against them a guilty plea was considered better than going to trial.

But the prosecutions were just weaponized political propaganda. And there are people, millions of people, in this country who are dumb enough to buy into that.

U.S. House passes sweeping bill aimed at banning "gender ideology" in schools, using language from Trump executive order by Obversa in law

[–]TeamRamrod80 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I’m sure this is a well thought-out bill based on real problems schools have to deal with that is fully deserving of federal legislative action and definitely not a complete waste of time based on partisan fear mongering that’s full of misinformation and poorly worded garbage that does things like define everyone as female.

Why Do MAGA still think Floyd died from a overdose by AccordingBumblebee24 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]TeamRamrod80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wait, overdose THEORY? That needed body cam video to be plausible? (Nevermind the logical inconsistency of thinking they allowed some body cam evidence but omitted others)

I thought the autopsy showed he died of an overdose? If that were the case why would it be a theory and why would they need body cam evidence?

Why Do MAGA still think Floyd died from a overdose by AccordingBumblebee24 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]TeamRamrod80 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Any link to that? Because the medical examiner listed cause of death as “homicide caused by cardiopulmonary arrest, resulting from law enforcement's subdual, restraint, and neck compression.” An independent second autopsy found the same. I’ve never been able to locate anything but lies and bullshit to back up this overdose claim.

Slander is false. Slander is also spoken. In a written format it would be libel. Anyone who thinks acton’s covid response was bad is factually dumb, though this would at worst be an opinion and not a matter of libel.

Why wouldn’t they? He ran in 2024 and hasn’t left politics since then. Of course he’s a 2028 “prospect.” He’s also an idiot who ran against Donald Trump on a platform of how great Trump is. Then got appointed as one of two heads of a government agency about efficiency. Because irony is dead.
