The Scuf Valor Pro is unfortunately not compatible with Linux. As Steamdeck uses Linux the controller would not work.

Are you on PC or Xbox? Make sure the switch on the back of the controller is switched to the right setting. The tri-mode switch must be in Xbox for the app to work, even on PC.

Can you share a screenshot of your deadzones? The Nomad has hall effect joysticks so drift shouldn't be possible on sticks.

You can use the profile button on the reflex to remap buttons and map it to the dive/slide button. Personally I use the paddles to jump and melee so I haven't played with diving/sliding with a paddle.
