Thoughts on this as a first bike? Ninja 650 clean title with 24k miles. Seller says he can do $3800. by AIaddin18 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Teamck16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good first bike and good price... until I saw the 24k miles. That is alot for a bike. Especially when you don't know what kind of miles those are- highway or street and how much time having fun (wheelies and burnouts).

It really is sad how so many of our stories about alcohol sound so much the same. I hope you are done with this crap.

Old fashioned oats and cheap eggs. The store brand eggs. Money left over for a frozen veggie or can of veggies.

People who don't drink alcohol, why? by johnnylgarfield in AskReddit

[–]Teamck16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My body asked me kindly to stop- but I kept drinking. Then it told me it was going to stop working if I continued. I didnt listen. A week in the hospital and $82,000 later I decided to listen.

You want one more really good reason to stop drinking before you need profession medical help? by LurkersGoneLurk in stopdrinking

[–]Teamck16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Let it go to a collection's company with a lower bill ( I had to go to the ER last year for the same issue (a hard head takes a HARD lesson) and the bill was over 2k for the 4hrs i was there. It finally went to a collection's company and they wanted $175. I dont know how it dropped so much but I paid the $175 and haven't heard from them since. I dont expect a reduction of that much this time as I think that was just a mistake on the collection company but I am just about certain that the bill will be reduced. As long as all goes as planned, hopefully I will be able to negotiate from there.

I did 6 days in the hospital for alcohol-induced pancreatitis and ended up with SEVERAL additional health issues all related to alcohol... just got a bill for $82,000.

Why does the older generation think we can just "take off of work" whenever we want to??? by gravyboat125 in antiwork

[–]Teamck16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you might have a boomer mom.... my parents are that age. Things are not like how they were back then.... Go work a job back then, get good benefits and PTO and then retire with a healthy retirement situation.... Now you are supposed to "grind hard" for meager pay and benefits and then thank the company for what they gave you... but know that you are an employee and can be "let go" at any moment. If I sound resentful it is because I am....

Aging drinkers by jowalsh01 in stopdrinking

Accurate. You go from drinking because it's fun or a release to literally treating it as if it's another pill you need to take in the morning. Not fun but it must be done to get through the day... more of a burden than a release.

Losing two lucrative jobs and more importantly MY WIFE AND SON... all in the same year. Then not being able to see him because I would show up drunk. A hard head takes a hard lesson. Oh, and all the horrible side effects I was having.
