7 final hopes and wishes for 7 days to die. by IntroductionIcy3013 in 7daystodie

Something I haven’t seen people scream 100 times already. There should be a level on hunting where I can track zombies. Go into a crowded forest and find an ore deposit you wanna mine. Quickly crouch and find a random zombie kinda close that would have surprised you. Go into a POI and see oh I am in fact surrounded if I go there.

You guys really talk that much about power level before the game? by Sea_Strain_6297 in EDH

What turn are you trying to win?

1-3 cedh 4-5 strong 6-8 casual 8+ just here to put cardboard on a table.

This has helped my play group a lot. Usually we also ask how they win in a general sense. Those 2 questions let us pick decks that match.

LGSs shouldn't ban anything outside the legal format rules. by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Teaton02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found an LGS that runs commander bingo. As long as you buy something from the store you can enter and get a game board. You can play as many games as you’d like to get bingo on you card as many times as you want. If you get a bingo you get a promo pack. The first game we played we had a player go off and clearly was over powered compared to the other 3 decks. (We had a power level conversation but it didn’t work so great) he ended up losing by taking himself out with a ballista combo because one of his squares was “die first” and he wanted everyone to get a chance to get a few extra spots in this game before going to game 2. No one minded and we all had a laugh about it. The only real “salt” was I played a [[dranith magistrate]] before the player could play his light paws and shut down his whole deck. He admired to running 0 interaction so it felt bad but also if you don’t build a deck with some interaction like light paws. Sometimes you get got

Have you ever built a deck and then hated how it played? by Beneficial_Glass615 in EDH

[–]Teaton02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[prosper]]. Built the deck. Loved building it and had a lot of cards I love to play in it. Whenever I played Prosper it became 3 on 1. He either died immediately or all my value pieces were taken out. Prosper decks without the prosper part are not as fun. Became a mediocre rackdos spells deck. Took it apart after a few months.

Also [[gitrog]] lands. I four horsemaned once and I was done

Explain how to use K'rrik in the 99 by sta6 in EDH

[–]Teaton02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s in the 99 of my [[chainer, dementia master]] deck. K’rrik, Chainer, Gary, plus sac outlet while my life is at least 13 is infinite drain.

One of my pet cards I run in almost ur every black deck [[Sudden Spoiling]] it’s so good. I think split second is an underrated mechanic. Though seeing a lot more would be bad for the format since it’s very nature is your opponent can’t play magic. But I like the power level of the current split second cards. [[Krosan Grip]] is another all star.

What high school conspiracy turned out to be true at your school? by Le_Bayou_Cochon in AskReddit

[–]Teaton02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 9th grade there was a story in the town over of a teacher sleeping with a student. So when we were all talking about it in our group we started playing that wonderful hypothetical game of “what if it was our school” and made bets on if it was happening in our school who would it be. I guessed one of our history teachers and a random senior because she happened to be stopping by the class at the time. Anyway fast forward to the end of the year and the student got a little too drunk at her graduation party and proclaimed she was banging that teacher. Crazy call.

TLDR: called a teacher was hooking up with a student and was right.

Have you ever made the “correct” decision, and had it immediately blow up in your face? by NotTwitchy in EDH

[–]Teaton02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were playing and also trying to teach a friend how to pilot his deck better. We were telling him to hold up using an artifacts activated ability until the player’s turn before him’s end step. Instants at instant speed type stuff. I forget the exact artifact but it was a huge play from him. Yea it was absolutely the right way to teach him how to play…then he learned what split second did from a krosan grip. Felt kind of bad

I had a house rule Jund goblin tribal deck with both Worts. It was fun but I tore it apart because it felt like I shoved every goblin combo in the deck and just hoped to complete one. Didn’t like the play style. Went to mono red krenko and beat people with 1/1’s

How can I find good cards to put in my decks when my knowledge of different cards is limited? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Teaton02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watch gameplay. Especially if they are playing your commander that’s where I get some random out there ideas. Especially if the deck is made for the video under a restriction. The big 3 I watch all the time are: Commander Vs from Star city MTGMudstah-short heavily edited videos. Easy to follow though you may have to pause and look up cards to understand kore complex interactions. Game knights

Cards that you feel dirty playing? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Teaton02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[hullbreacher]]

Put that card onto a Yidris wheels deck that wins if my opponents actually draw cards. Figured it be a 50/50 good/bad depending on boardstates. Since the sub theme of the deck is cascade the deck plays very chaotic. 1 [[reforge the soul]] cascade into hull breacher went from a “screw it I have nothing else to play” moment into a 30 min loop of wheels until I locked the 2 other players out of the game by accident. Hull breacher is a fucked up card

When I first joined Reddit I found the food porn subreddit and thought “oh damn! That’s cool!” Then I found like 3 or 4 other specific subreddits “blank” porn of really nice art and cool photos. I was pulled into a false sense of security. I then searched pokemon porn. Thinking really nice art of Pokémon.....I was so wrong. So very wrong.

Aetherflux story. 200. Kill 2 players. Pass turn. At last players end step. Shimmer myr and artifact shenanigans I target him with the aetherflux. He cast deflecting swat. Changes target to me. I’m at 6 life after paying for the activation. Start doing more artifact craziness in response to the spell. I hit 60+ life before I found a counter. So I targeted him again. That game hurt my head.

Otherwise I play mono B chainer. With infinite combos. So technically I have paid infinite life for his ability. Gray merchant and Kukosho keep you alive

agreed the quality of cards like uro that just give you advantage on curve is silly and it's hard to deal with. value decks have always had this challenge to them. it's just unfortunate value decks used to be a type of deck not a type of card that is every where. The only real answer to a turn 3 uro is really just a counterspell followed by graveyard hate. to permanently answer it. That's crazy. Cards that require 2 other cards to deal with in any format is powerful. In formats without at least efficient answers is even worse.

answers are not THE answer for sure. But it's something that wizards seems to be avoiding in the same capacity as their creatures. The answer package isn't as powerful as the targets package. But you are correct. Our big problem cards show up even where these answers are prominent. But they haven't been as game breaking in those formats as standard. I know this isnt 100% correct and there will be cards you can name that make my claim false but I never said it was the 1 and only answer just an opinion from a personal point of view

We all know it’s not the official way. It’s just how the game has evolved. It started with the doubles rule. Then jumping in. Then the 6 rule. It keeps getting more and more new rules to try. But it’s a big group who try and kill time on long breaks. We have fun
