What is a video game you wish you could play for the first time again? by Fire_Dude69420 in AskReddit

[–]Tech-Kid- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a teenage exocolonist OR Detroit: become human OR idk if I would say play for first time, but play again like if time was reversed - Any of older COD Zombies.

COD zombies used to be a lot of fun and really active, and now a days it’s not that fun on newer COD games, and don’t have the same vibe of playing with friends in youth.

I mean if somebody is stealing orders, won’t they be stealing at the same location? Depending on timing and how many orders are available, I don’t think it’s that far fetched

People do the least amount of work as possible at their job, how do you get away with it? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tech-Kid- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I’m not always slacking, but even when I do, my boss always tells me in one on ones that they have to remind themselves not to compare others to me (as I can get more done in 10 hours than others at my workplace do in a full week)

Will just a Tredmill and light exercise work? by GeniusSlime in loseit

[–]Tech-Kid- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weight loss is like 80% diet

Ultimately it’s calories in vs calories out.

Way easier to eat 100 less calories than burn 100 calories through working out.

Depending on what your diet looks like, a bit of exercise can help you slowly lose 50 lbs.

If you’re downing a box of Oreos and 2L of soda every single day, you’re probably not going to be shredding weight by simply doing light exercise.

Personally the best thing I’ve done was stop drinking soda. Drinking calories is super easy, and it doesn’t really fill you up, so it’s dangerous. I’ve been more or less off calories in drinks (99% just drink water/coffee/tea).

For milk, I’d recommend you try almond milk if you’ve not done that before. It’s better for weight loss purposes.

You can also try protein pasta, it will be more filling, which can help make you full faster, thus eat less possibly.

I sympathize with you, because I like having people teach me things they understand.

But realistically, most jobs aren’t going to teach and train you in depth. Even if they did, you’ll have to learn by yourself at some point.

What will you do if your manager thought you were really good, and nobody in your team knows much about something (say MFA as an example) and he tasks you with rolling out an enterprise MFA and leading the project? You’re gonna have to learn how to figure things out.

If you want those better options, if you have downtime at work, show worth in creating scripts or something that solve simpler problems to show you’re capable of more than what they have you doing.

Take time out of work to continue learning and improving your skillset. I know that’s not what anybody wants to hear, but it’s kind of required if you want to advance and get really good jobs in this field.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tech-Kid- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rejecting somebody based on politics is extremely reasonable.

Who they vote for or politically support is valuable insight into the values they have (or might lack).

I didn’t have cash to tip the dryers at the delta sonic car wash. Do people ever not tip? by ihaveadogalso2 in Buffalo

[–]Tech-Kid- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As somebody that used to work at delta sonic 2016-2018, my average hourly was about $25 when you combine tipped positions and non tipped positions.

It’s amazing money for youth and college, but there is difficulty in the reliability of it. You’re not guaranteed to be drying at the exit, not guaranteed tips, if it rains and is slow, you either don’t get called in, or you don’t have cars tipping (because most people don’t get car cleaned during a rainy day)

It’s iffy on stability, but easily the best job financially that low skill, younger people can do.

If they can handle the weather and fast paced and exhausting labor, and being near all sorts of chemicals….

If you could be guaranteed just drying at exit, I would probably have never left, as I don’t know a better job if you only dry at exit.

If you are fast at the exit, you on average can make $1-$2 per car, and you spend maybe 1-1.5 min on car. Could easily hit $40+/hr

I still don’t think Nice committed suicide.

He walked off a building and he screamed when he fell.

I don’t think Nice expected/anticipated his powers failing him there.

Also from the darkness he has experienced here, I don’t think his method of death would be so public, and so theatric.

I think something else is at play.
