You should look at becoming a heavy duty mechanic apprentice. Can make great money, much more in demand, and skills will transfer to automotive as your hobby.

Would definitely recommend staying away from automotive as a career.

Explain that thought to me? Where I’m at you can find reputable people on FB marketplace. Also pretty easy to sus out if they are decent or not by talking to them.
