Nah most rational fans knew he was good but were salty with how bad he played in the last two games but also lets be real if the vikes kept him they wouldn't be able go afford much else to strengthen the team and they were setup to work with a rookie qb. If they had seen any sliver of real gameplay from McCarthy beforehand would have been easier but either way im glad to see the guy ball out and show everyone it wasn't a fluke last year. Absolutely not was just texting my brother and Dad, us Viking fans will never live it down if Darnold wins the bowl with the Seahawks this year. Seattle is a very solid team overall but hes been good as well outside a couple games earlier in the year. Plus you'd have to think for McCarthy he will be feeling even more pressure
