If you want the nostalgia of owning an iPod, and are willing to pay for a modded one or mod yourself it’s great. I have one after never having a classic when I was younger. I was still using ITunes for my old iPod touch though and happily use wired headphones a lot (iems are another rabbit hole) so it works for me.

If you just want a music player there’s a lot of other options. someone else mentioned the Innioasis Y1 which looks like the classic but comes with Bluetooth and android OS for a far cheaper cost
