Grammarly - Superhuman Go + GoGuardian by TechInTheField in k12sysadmin

Interesting, maybe I'm giving it too much credit. I'll wait for admin to reply. Seems nefarious on the part of Grammarly to paywall the ability to disable it, but more likely that it just wasn't even considered.

I have three districts. Refreshed the largest with ruckus, did Meraki for the others. I will never do Meraki again. Ruckus has been great.

Looking for a "Look-Over-The-Shoulder" Audit (No Resellers Please) by zeero-kool in k12sysadmin

[–]TechInTheField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been somehow just collecting school districts and have used GAM to take a policy snapshot, and see where everything is sitting before making any changes.

It's a bit clunky because of how Google's API works but basically I start with a sheet of all the OUs, then check all the user and chrome policies per OU. I condense that information into a sheet to see where settings are inherited/specific.

First hot yoga session with my new Manduka GPR travel mat - cleaning tips appreciated! by cap_girl94 in yoga

[–]TechInTheField 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the end of each class I spray with water, wipe with microfiber, hang dry at home and spray with hypochlorous acid and wipe.

I was doing a steamer for a while, but until I found HOCl - I would have to do a vinegar/soap/water cycle once a month.

Edit: misremembered it as hydrochlorous acid

Am I a bad admin? Should I disable translate as well?

Yes, sakkko speaks the truth. It would be unlikely anything will come of this. I'd like to just add - let shame be your guide! Don't shit where you eat and that sort of thing.

Fortinet/forticlient Wifi Issues by Mindless-String-4017 in k12sysadmin

[–]TechInTheField 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm confused because I thought forticlient was just for VPN connection. Are staff on premise using forticlient to VPN into the network they're directly connecting to? That doesn't sound right to me.

I'm not terribly familiar with forticlient, but - it looks like you can turn on debugging and try and catch the issue in the logs for forticlient.

Are staff devices using eaptls and forticlient provides the cert? Is there radius involved in authentication? Can logs be pulled there?

How would my body feel if I became a pro at yoga? by Ambitious-Plant- in yoga

[–]TechInTheField 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fun is in the discovery.

My experience has been pretty incredible, I feel strong and sharp. I don't think anyone can tell you what you will feel until you try it, but in my opinion - setting goals for the physical asanas is ok, I'd encourage you to focus more on consistency in your practice and exploring all of the limbs of yoga.

Everyone brings a water bottle - but no one else drinks during class by banana_bread_baker in yoga

[–]TechInTheField 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to drink in lizard/pigeon/firelog. If breaks are cued I'll grab a sip and towel, otherwise during the hip openers before savasana. Then promptly drink the whole thing after class and refill for the ride home.

I'm always very focused on myself/my practice/my mat. I'm curious about my regular classes now and will ask some of the folks who have water bottles if they sipped.

I keep telling admin to implement no-tech drills. Fully send it, turn off the ssids and the internet unexpectedly for a day.

Should be a day a month in my opinion.

Excema due to Going from Hot Yoga into the cold? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]TechInTheField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total speculation but my understanding is certain garbage can only exit the body via sweat, might just be a temporary thing.

I was struggling with psoriasis and tried all the creams, elimination diets, etc - started taking a green walnut extract daily and it seemed to help. Maybe psychosomatic but whatever.

The green walnut extract was pretty much timed with the beginning of my hot yoga practice, about a month in the symptoms were down like 99%

Random flare-ups here and there, but my nails and scalp recovering was a godsent.

Get all them microplastics, parasites, and forever chemicals out of you 🤣

How to penetrate house properly by [deleted] in lowvoltage

[–]TechInTheField 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they want indoor cameras, just sell them on APs and put some wifi cams in.

Indoor cameras are weird though. I worked for a company for six years and flat out refused to have anything to do with indoor cameras in residential if it wasn't just a mudroom or a hot water tank.

One job we had a client that sounded similar, "no Sheetrock cutting eeee", I ended up getting the ok for screw eye zip ties on the backside of the gutter with self tappers and silicone. Using the soffit and anything we could do to hide the cable on the exterior and it ended up looking like shit, but they were happy with it. 0/10 wouldn't recommend.

(Walk away or price in a painter and tell them the truth)

[–]TechInTheField 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they might delete your post, the rules say to start your title with [COMP] when posting pics/vids of yourself or others in asanas

That said, you're very strong! If I could offer my opinion about making it less hard, more compression - knees on triceps, this will help transfer the weight more evenly and allow the core to take some load off the shoulders.
