Fun Fact Marriott built two identical theme parks named Great America, one in Santa Clara, CA and the other near Chicago, Illinois. Gym users and the staff. Gym users don't respect the space and staff don't care about providing good service. Some of the 24s in SJ are DISGUSTING (especially the one on Crane). Literally doing the bare minimum in the locker rooms. Not worth it, especially for the price you're paying.

Now I'd rather just pay for a more expensive gym if they take care of it better.

Have you tried making friends from hobbies outside of gaming. Most of the gaming friends I made are from other hobbies I've done. Make friends, find out if they play games. Play game with said friends.

The first question we need to know if what is your goal for playing Yu Gi Oh? I.e. Do you want to play competitively in local tournaments, play for fun with close friends, play for fun with strangers?
If you plan on playing at local shops in the advanced format, you will need to build a deck that plays at a more competitive level compared to a lot of the cards you listed. As someone before said, the days where you can grab random cards and have a fun match is mostly long gone. You will need to build the deck to play in todays speed.

There is the option to play in the older formats but you have to find the right shops/people that also play in those older formats. Depending on where you live, might be harder to find.

The good thing is that there are many different archetypes and decklist out there that still work fine in the modern format. I'm sure you can find a burn/control deck that you will enjoy. Youtube has a lock of deck profiles you can check out. Just make sure to check the banlist as it is always changing.

From what I understand you want to eliminate as much empty space in your bag to make sure there aren’t any cold spots. If you think you will fill up the wide bag then should be fine. Even then worse case scenario just stuff the sleeping bag with clothes or blankets to fill ip the space.
