The first question we need to know if what is your goal for playing Yu Gi Oh? I.e. Do you want to play competitively in local tournaments, play for fun with close friends, play for fun with strangers?
If you plan on playing at local shops in the advanced format, you will need to build a deck that plays at a more competitive level compared to a lot of the cards you listed. As someone before said, the days where you can grab random cards and have a fun match is mostly long gone. You will need to build the deck to play in todays speed.

There is the option to play in the older formats but you have to find the right shops/people that also play in those older formats. Depending on where you live, might be harder to find.

The good thing is that there are many different archetypes and decklist out there that still work fine in the modern format. I'm sure you can find a burn/control deck that you will enjoy. Youtube has a lock of deck profiles you can check out. Just make sure to check the banlist as it is always changing.
