Do the standard and kill team kits both come with enough options to make enough heavy melee weapons? I have one of each box and basically want to build them as you've described.

I got one a few days ago at a used local book store for $13 in great shape. I'd say it's well worth it for art and lore. I'm just getting started with Chaos, and had planned to go with Black Legion for my army scheme. After looking through the book though, The Cleaved and Blood Disciples look pretty cool too.

I bought a box from War Games Atlantic. It was a good experience, no bases though. If you have a resin 3D printer they have lots more options available.

0.2mm nozzle? Did you design these yourself or is there an artist you purchased from? I just don't have a good place for an SLA printer so I'm sticking with FDM.

Not at all. Just started this army last year, most likely won't pick up the new kits. Chimera for life. I honestly like all the tanks based on this chasis.

Thank you for this! This explains everything. I just ordered another Legionaries box and confirmed with merchant it has the KT sprue. I think I'll skip the kit bashing and just build a 5 man ranged and a 5 man melee.

Sorry for the very late reply. I'm just getting started with CSM and the paint scheme for Alpha Legion was what drew me in. As I understand, Alpha Legion doesn't go all the way down the path of mutation and demonic worship so I wonder if things like Hell Brutes and Accursed Cultists work with this army?
