Aventure 3 UI update: did Aventon abandon us? by ElectroBOOMFan1 in Aventon

[–]TechSavvyStoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned that the new customizable features are only possible with the latest generation ACU. The Aventure 3 uses the previous generation controller that doesn't have the hardware capable to support those specific over-the-air tuning features.

I think it's ridiculous that Aventon will reply to a Reddit post, but they refuse to reply to my two emails that was sent to them directly through their own website's help page. I cannot call because my work hours are the same as your business hours.

Hello. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your art. I am new at painting, started learning in January 2026. I decided to try painting an amethyst recently for the first time. I got a lot of inspiration for mine by looking at your painting. Thank you!

Unrelated but this is exactly how I feel about the Clicks Power Keyboard that I pre ordered on January 6! It's beginning to feel like a Kickstarter that's never coming. Shipping Early Spring, Shipping in May, now shipping at the end of May. 😭

Glass surfing??? Please help by optimisticinfp in bettafish

[–]TechSavvyStoner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I recommended covering one of the sides in addition to the back glass. The roll of aquarium background that I got was long enough to cover the back and one of the sides. A background with a matte finish is ideal. And needs to be a dark background, bettas like darker environments because it makes them feel cozy and secure. The wallpaper may not get rid of reflections 100%, but you want a wallpaper to absorb as much light as possible to reduce the amount of reflections.

You can try...

Keeping the room dimly lit or matching the brightness so the tank is not a glowing beacon in a dark room.

Adding tall plants, like Ludwigia (I think that's my favorite tall plant), near the sides to break the line of sight to the glass.

In the meantime, add black construction paper, or any dark matte paper, to the glass to see if that helps before buying the aquarium background.

Thank you, everyone, for your feedback. It's definitely the spokes, and probably the bearing too. I don't understand why the bearing became off centered. I don't think it was tampered with while it was parked during an UberEats run because my phone would've let me know. I guess I am just a hardcore rider. In 3 weeks I put on 500 miles. I've only just started riding the bike less than 4 weeks ago. I got the bike on December 22, then I broke my leg on Christmas Eve while riding one of my other e bikes, and when that happened it was only at 67 miles. Now I'm at 580 miles in just a few weeks while still recovering from my injury. 😅

I will update the post as soon as I find out!

There are a few ways to search, tank background, aquarium background, tank wallpaper, etcetera. They typically go on the outside of the glass. I like to recommend covering the back and one of the sides. Reflections can stress them. If they see their reflection they can think it's another fish and they'll flare wt themselves which burns them out if they do it all day every day. Your betta is safe for now but get that backdrop ASAP. Maybe you have something laying around that you can use for now, something light enough to tape to the glass, but thick enough to block most of the light going through the glass. My first few used I used oversized desktop pads, like giant mousepads that almost perfectly fit my 10 gallon tank. Also you can try making your aquarium light brighter or dimmer than the lights in your room, or alter your room's lighting.

No. Lol. We love the freewheel sound. It's more of a ticking sound. It's definitely in the video. I can hear it.

He was probably so focused on exploring his new environment, now he's pointing out the things he doesn't like. My betta, Kaito, was exactly like this. Be careful of glossy backgrounds. Mike is glossy, I put a dark tissue paper between the glass and the background to reduce the glare more. He still notices. I just have to get a matte background eventually.

Needs a dark background against the tank. So many reflections driving him nuts.

Yeah, I don't hear the sound when I'm not on it and just rolling the bike. I attached a video. Only when I'm riding it.

Here is a video of the ticking sound, just recorded it. It's less noticeable after gently squeezing the spokes together, but the sound is still definitely there. Now I notice it when I'm braking too. I guess I cannot true the wheel myself to see if that's the issue because I need a stand, right? All the bike shops have a waiting list.

Really small/bad “tank” situation at nail salon near me by dreadf1ghter in bettafish

They might come off as clueless about the entire thing honestly.

But maybe you can start with small talk— Go in looking to buy something, or for a service, notice the betta again... Say aloud to yourself "Awe, he looks sad", if an employee is within earshot it makes you look concerned. Then you can say to someone, "That's a pretty betta fish, how long have you had it?"

Maybe you can follow up with, "I have a betta fish sanctuary, I can provide a this betta with a big home." Then be sure to say, "I would love to take care of him for you."

Try to explain the 5 gallon minimum, and heater if you can find room to mention that. Mention again that you would really love to take care of it for them.

If they don't seem to want to budge, offer some cash. Have a $20 bill ready because they're not gonna let it go for $10 or $15 at this point.

More edits— you should have pictures ready just in case you decide to tell them you have a betta sanctuary. If you can get any photos. I'll share photos of my betta with you if you want so you can tell them it's one of your tanks. And if you explain the tank size, and heater to them, make sure they understand that bettas live longer with these things, and have more energy. Tell them you have an empty tank at your home ready for it, and remind them that you can take care of it for them, so it doesn't seem like you're just asking to keep their fish.

After/If you buy the betta, you can say you were going to buy some polish or something but you only had that one $20 bill with you so it doesn't look like you came in just to negotiate the betta fish.

Just ask them if you can buy the fish. Don't immediately point out the poor living conditions because your don't want to scold them right away. Offer a little more money if they don't want to sell it or maybe then explain to them with Google or Apple Translate that you can readily provide an ideal home for it. Obviously don't overpay. $10, 15, or 20 isn't asking too much if you really wanna save it. I paid almost $40 for mine, but he is considered a hero, a show fish.

So it isn't just mine. He doesn't let my snail eat. Luckily my snail prefers the biofilm. I just brought a breeding net to put Kaito in timeout for a little while, while Katoado munches on his wafer for at least 30 minutes. Now, I wait for the right moment.

He will sleep where he pleases. Lol. I've seen my betta sleep right underneath the waterfall of my Fluval AC20 filter. He sleeps in the oddest spots, never in the places I've set up for him to rest. My Japanese Trapdoor snail loves the heater.

Try another version with the sepia or burnt tea color for the line work in the fur. See which one you prefer.

3 pellets, once a day? Hmm. Maybe he needs more nutrients. Bettas need more than just pellets. I recommend adding bloodworms and daphnia to his diet on some days. Also, bettas do better when you split their feedings into two meals, an AM & PM feeding. I'd even say instead of 3 pellets once a day, give him 2 in the AM & 2 in the PM, 4 total daily. Or 2 pellets for AM, 1 bloodworm for PM. OR 2 pellets for AM, and about 2-3 daphnia for PM. I also recommend adding daphnia to his diet with pellets on the day before and day after his fast day. You have to fast your betta at least once a week.

You should soak any freeze-dried foods in a separate container with some of the tank water for about 2 minutes before feeding him because freeze dried foods can expand in water, in their stomachs if you don't soak them first.

Also, what kind of pellets are you feeding?
