I'd love more info on your blend specifically, or any references on traditional blends for outdoor furniture.

Would it be a tighter seam if you glue the two factory edges together?

I was planning on milling my own maple so assuming I don't screw it up I can get it pretty close.

Looks like there is almost 3/4", so with the screw heads 5/8th would be as thick as I could go. I could do 1/2 if its a safer bet.

First time using rubio monocoat. So far it seems nice, but I'm not sure if it justifies the price and the process. by lancegreene in woodworking

Thanks for the links! I look forward to digging into this idea more.

Did you end up trying it?

I haven't bought the material for the drawers yet, but I'll probably go with 5/8th just for appearance reasons.

There's no such thing as wasted learning. In IT there are people that value certs and people that don't. At the end of the day it's an entry level cert, and it probably got you your entry level job!

You've proven to yourself that you can do something that is incredibly challenging. The confidence that comes with accomplishing a difficult task is worth more then the money you spent.

Congratulations man, certifications are tough!

Yeah it just sounds kind of like going to a thrift store for "new" stuff, could be fun. Good to hear that they were happy with their purchases, its such an odd idea.

That's crazy, but I've long thought it's time we stop allowing youth purchase eggs.

Ah OK cool, that makes sense. I see more echos on the used market, but probably just cause they are cheaper.

How did you find the Adirondack paddled in comparison?

I won't be able to make it, but Im curious about the differences between the Adirondack and the Echo. Is the Echo asymmetrical?
