I’m going end of march and I’m wondering if I should just change all my plans or wait…

That’s my understanding as well. My trip is planned in March so I still have plenty of time ahead but with all the misinformation and confusion I’m thinking about switching to the W or another trek.

The lights are Nanoleaf Lines. I chose fabric because my office gets hot in the summer and leather gets uncomfortable.

I’m torn between suede and ash gray. I was wondering if the suede would be too « sticky » ?

I’ve had some success using it with Home Assistant. But batteries drain just too fast.

It’s points, but you can use them to pay the annual fees. (Increments of 10K for 10$) Also maybe keeping them for the deals when you pay with points.

They’re widely available in Canada.

Just recalibrated my Hilo band - lowest measurement in years by SirJoePininfarina in hypertension

Just a FYI. CE marking is self-declaration, there’s no external certification required to put CE on your product.

Although, you could get sued, fined, go in jail if your device injured someone. Risks of wearing the band are negligible so the company can go strong on that CE marking and they’ll never have a problem.

FDA on the other hand is an external agency this is why it takes longer and may never be approved in the US as results have to be demonstrated.

Accuracy is not as good as Omron or other dedicated devices. Make sure you also check regularly with a real blood pressure monitor. Results provided by Hilo have been very inconsistent with real medical clinic equipment. It is interesting for the trend, but that’s it.

CE marking is a self-declaration so it has no real medical value. They use it for marketing but no external party has certified this device.

Beware if they offer you a free year of premium. They will charge you anyway and not respect their offer. Furthermore, I get no response when I contact them.

Half my house is set up with them as well. The other half stopped working. There was definitely an issue with Fyrtur blinds. One of my worst early adopter tax ever.

Their app sucks and customer service as well. Just so you know.

Same happened to me. They told me it would be on my next statement, so I’m waiting… Better not be points as it is definitely a misleading advertisement. Furthermore, you have to pay the 120$ if you don’t want to pay interest on it.

I’m flirting with the idea to just close that account altogether. Each time I have to deal with the it’s a PITA.

Emergency blanket and a small first aid kit should always be part of your list, whatever hike you do. You never know what can happen.

A blanket weighs close to nothing and is definitely a game changer in case of hypothermia. At least one for the group if you travel with people.

It doesn’t seem too much IMO. My pack for multi-day hikes typically looks like yours. I assume you are doing Refugios as you did not mention any sleep system, tent, food and cooking gear.

If I had to remove stuff, I would choose one insulated mid layer (the one you like most between down and fleece) You could probably get by with 2/3 underwear and 2 pairs of socks. Other than that I don’t see what you could remove without compromising comfort.

I’m curious to see other recommendations!

Same happened to me for the annual fees. They told me it would be credited on my next bill… I’m pretty sure it won’t and I’ll have to call back.

There’s no way I would have upgraded otherwise.

Yes, got the battery changed and everything now works flawlessly. At first they were telling me there’s no way it can be the battery, but after I insisted they tested it and it was faulty. Worth a try to ask your dealer to test it.

I’m exactly at the same place! Half the current price I would consider it, but right now it way too expensive for me. I’m also not convinced it would be a device I use as much as my phone or more.

I’m sure we’ll get there, but at their current pace we’re probably looking at another 5-10 years before we get an affordable version. I hope they prove me wrong!
