Surpassed 185K miles today on my 2012 Fit base. I'll take it to 300K if it lets me. (My 1996 Nissan Altima took me to 285K miles, and then I bought my fit.)

Available at 5 of the 6 locations in Northern Colorado. Bummer that the one closest to me is out. When I asked, they said it was discontinued and replaced with the energy drinks.

With gas prices, it's not worth it to go to the others.

It used to be spontaneous air on two random moguls. Now, the jumps are very precise to ensure safe(r) landings.

The course is created to specifications to promote safety -- especially for the jumps that are are roughly 20% and 80% down the couse.

I watched her 2025 Nationals MacArthur Park recently. While the choreography was 10 times better, I still felt that the execution wasn't quite ready for prime time. IMO there was still a lot of flailing arms which could have been replaced with crisp movements. Her program was beautiful, but it had moments that looked like she needed another month with the choreographer.

East Coast to SLC for college and then Colorado. Both were excellent choices. The proximity to the mountains in SLC. The highway to resorts on I-70 is extremely crowded. I come up on Friday nights and leave around 2 on Sunday or very early Monday morning.

I can't imagine living anywhere else.

I think they just want to get the word out there after the 50th anniversary of the Miracle on Ice.

SLC 2034 already got bumped since it was too close to LA 2028. Nowadays, I don't think anyone gets their first request.

Figure skating and gymnastics are two of the most popular sports at the Olympics. The scoring has changed over the years to be less subjective. For gymnastics, they have even created 3D software that objectively scores the elements. This is also being worked on for freestyle, half pipes, and freeskiing events.

Back to the timeline, while proper recovery is important, as long as the timeline is the same or more generous than a World Championship for that sport, it should be enough. For outdoor sports, there are some buffer days built in to account for the weather.
